Casa De Ramos

This is a great, classic socal Mexican restaurant. I had the taco/chilli relleno combo. It was perfect. The salsa was delicious. The only disappointment was the guacamole. It is not fresh avocado chunkey, where you can see the ingredients. It is blended paste. While it tasted okay, it didn't taste like fresh mashed avocados. The service was good and I appreciated the prompt drink refills.

Finally, the place that got me into Mexican food! I had been a holdout for a long time, probably due to what I thought Mexican food was. I ended up going with friends, one of whom knew the cuisine very well. The result was excellent - burritos stuffed with beef, beans and fantastic sauce. I will definitely be back!

Casa de Ramos is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. My personal favorite is the Chile Verde burrito. (Hint: I always have them add beans & cheese to it). This dish is a bit on the spicy side so be warned. I love spicy but I am aware that some (Like my wife) prefer their meals on the mild side. The chips & salsa they serve is also excellent. If you feel like having a margarita, you won't be disappointed. The staff is always friendly. They make us feel like we're part of the family. We love Casa de Ramos!

Super friendly, happy neighborhood hole in the wall that will pleasantly surprise you. Great flavors to their meals. My fave is Lola's Burrito, which is huge and packed with chicken, rice, salsas, guacamole, cheese and just done right. All the locals, like me, love it and have been supporting them for a long time. That's a good sign.
