Wow!! We saw this place tucked away in a little strip mall, and decided to stop by. Amazing! First off, the customer service was incredible. The owner and staff was so attentive and friendly! The restaurant was super clean. The portions were huge! We tried so many items from the menu. All of them were fantastic. The gyro and chicken shawarma were so tender and flavorful. The falafel was some of the best we have had in the Valley. The dolmas were also the best we have had in ages. The pita bread, hummus and baba ghanoush was perfect. And they have quite a few homemade desserts. We were beyond impressed. Give this place a shot. You will not be sorry. We will be telling everyone. Do not overlook this place. Thank you for an amazing meal!
This place is ESSENTIAL to stop at. The owners were so friendly and accommodating! We had the steak kabob plate which came with hummus, baba ghanoush, and rice. We had chicken shwarma, falafel, greek salad, and the gyro sandwich. Everything was insanely fresh and delicious. Check these guys out ASAP if you’re in the area.
What a gem! Immediately welcomed with a smile (Robin), and made to feel right at home. This is a family owned Mediterranean restaurant- everything made fresh daily. Please do yourself a huge favor and order the lentil soup! Do ask to meet the mom, Hala (spelling), who prepares the food by hand. She is a lovely warm hearted woman. Overall a must try restaurant! We will be back 💯
I've been looking for a good gyro restaurant on the west side and SO happy I found this place. I ordered the gyro pita combo and it did not disappoint. exactly what I was craving and their garlic sauce is fire! my new favorite place. Thank you for a great experience and being so kind!
I love this place! The food is always authentic and I love eating here they always take care of me every time I eat here and I will always recommend this to anyone here.
Admittedly, I did not have high expectations when I stopped in for a bite to eat as some of the older reviews were mixed and I have had Mediterranean food all over the valley (and the world for that matter). However, Great Papa's Gyros is under new (family-owned) ownership and this has to be the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! From the Shwarma to the Kabobs and the Dolmas, everything is so well seasoned and flavorful it is truly next level! Whatever you do, don't forget the homemade Baklava for dessert!
PRO TIP: call and place your order ahead if you are in a rush. Everything here is made with love from scratch and takes time (but is well worth the wait). Don't miss this gem.
Came in after 4 on a Sunday not very busy and a very casual conversation with the clerk and besides the food being on the pricey side it is well worth it and great portions the sides and drinks are great as well would come again.
These guys are amazing! I usually get great service anyways from Greek restaurants I visit, but these guys are super friendly and can hold a nice conversation which helps feel like at home instantly. The food is fantastic as well, had to get a to go order after the main. It's also nice having a place actually give us true lamb meat as well!
5 🌟 definitely deserved here for their awesome efforts of hard work with a side of friendliness. Will definitely be coming back!
This place should be busier!! Small business, the service was amazing, spent barely a couple of minutes waiting for the food. Tried the gyros and the hummus as well as my partner tried the spartan fighter, all tasted great. Fries weren’t my taste personally but everything else was phenomenal. The owner was also super nice and (as someone with chronic stomach issues) the food didn’t leave me with stomach pain. 10/10 will be back!
