Truly excellent food and friendly, prompt service. We had both chicken and beef chimichangas and they superb. I highly recommend Fajardo's Cafe. Btw, I'm pretty picky about my Mexican food since I grew up here in PHX.

Im writing this review, because the idiot from the Arizona Republic doesn't know what real Mexican food taste like and gave this place a mediocre review. The food here is outstanding! I've been going here for years and I have never been disapponted at all. This is what real Mexican food is supposed to taste like. No disrespect to the caucasian columnist, but stick to what you know. I grew up on Mexican food and understand what great Mexican food is. To say that this restaurant is ok, is a slap in the face to those that own the restaurant and those that love it. Here's an idea, why don't you go to China and tell the Chinese how to cook and tell them what their food should taste like, according to you :)

Delicious, well-prepared food, warm, friendly service, in a nice, comfortable house setting. We thoroughly enjoyed the Chile Relleno with Green Chile sauce, and Refried Beans; Cheese and Onion Enchilada (I asked for double tortillas, less cheese, and extra enchilada sauce) with Over-easy Fried Egg, Rice and Refried Beans. For dessert, the Key Lime Pie was tart, sweet, and so tasty, and the Sopapillas sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and syrup were a generous serving, and yummy (although I prefer the fluffy sopapillas to the flour tortilla ones). We really appreciated our friendly and efficient server giving us the heads-up not to order two orders of sopapillas as key lime pie and one order of sopapillas was plenty for 3 people.

My family and I have been coming here for years. It's a clean Casita filled with Hispanic culture. Family owned business, and I'm all about supporting small businesses. Everything on the menu is good, and prices are affordable. My go-to plate is the menudo with bread. If you like pata you have to ask for it, and I highly recommend the menudo. The people there are very nice and attentive. Overall, 5 stars all around in my book.

Native Arizonan here, so I know good Mexican food. Where has this place been all my life? The BEST chile relleno's I've ever had anywhere, hands down. Servers were nice and attentive, the beans and rice and salsa were all excellent. Don't listen to the bad reviews, this place is a MUST TRY!

Our first visit, it was fantastic. The people and the food! We will be going back! Salsa is flavored well, not just HOT like most places.. I had Chimichanga with shredded beef..

This place is awesome. Hidden in a residential neighborhood, this little gem has some good old fashioned home cooking from mom's kitchen. The caldo de albondigas...took me on a nostalgic trip home to mom's home cooking. The taste is spot on, authentic and absolutely delicious! Prices are reasonable, staff is super friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back for round 2.

Oh right I got to say this Mexican food is authentic. The flavors are so hard to come bye the chips and salsa were great. The chips were not fresh but the salsa was amazing I ordered the eggs and chorizo and it was so good!! I ordered a cheese crisp with onions and green chilies on top extra crispy my mouth was salivating for another bite! Excellent customer service very attentive, kept my drinks filled up plenty of napkins.
