This place is really special! Their selection of salsas are awesome and their tacos are next-level! Outstanding staff too! My companion and I got a variety of tacos between us and agreed they were ALL fantastic! They make an horchata that's much more special than most too! If you love gourmet tacos, you HAVE to check this place out. (And then you'll have to come back, because no matter what you have, you'll see LOTS of other stuff on their huge menu that you still want to try!!)
I'm sad to give this place a 3 star because it really had potential for a 4. The waitress/bartender was attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious!! We had oxaca mole with chicken and cheese. By far the best mole we've tasted at a restaurant. The Mexican food authenticity was 100% delivered. The tamarindo margarita was refreshing and tasty. The reason for the lower rating was the ambiance and lack of cleanliness. It's the details and so easy to fix! Broken drywall, dirty walls, floors, and seats. Husband went to the restroom to wash his hands and he recommended I just use my hand sanitizer. Oh and while they had good music, I prefer not to be listening to comercials in the background (not a big deal but just thought it was a little silly)
Wanted to give this place another chance and came back for the delicious food and drinks. Service was excellent!! Attentive and fast. Eddie was a great host. Looks like some repairs were done which is excellent. Restroom were clean and the place felt clean, not your fanciest place but great service, food and drinks!! Worth the drive to this downtown Glendale gem!! For that reason I switched my original 3 star to a 4. Thank you for making those changes. It made a difference!!
So the fam and I decided to go and try La Santísima tacos in Glendale, AZ. after seeing it on Diners, Drive ins, and dives. I can tell you we were not disappointed. I had the fried quesadilla and wow it was good. My wife had the mixed tacos and the mole taco was different, the pickled onions gave it a kick. My wife said the Baby Shark taco was amazing also. The only downfall about this experience was the restroom sorry but you really need to move that storage bin out of the way. Everything will be perfect after that. Thanks and would definitely come back maybe next time it would to the original one, on 16th Ave.
Was disappointed that the one in Phoenix was closed due to water damage, but never fear! The Glendale location was open so we headed there. It was Saturday, no kids, nice weather, and some of the best Mexican food, this side of the border. They had ran out of Mayan cochinita, sadness, but went with our second choice, arrachera! 😁. Sopa Azteca is just delicious. I tried their guacamole for the first time and it was delicious! If you've never been, it's a must. We live in Gilbert, and this is one of our favorites when in Phoenix.
Food is amazing and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell the love and care that goes into making this delicious food. 10 out of 10. Thanks to Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives for spotlighting this local spot. Service is phenomenal. Full house with 1 server, 1 bartender, and 1 cook and still knocking out amazing food and atmosphere. Definitely coming back for more.

Plus free chips and salsa... the guac salsa was mu fav
A unique spot for authentic Mexican food. I have never seen so many different types of salsa as there were on the salsa bar. I had a burrito with chicken (dark meat), mushrooms. Spinach, rice and peppers. The burrito was layered vertically instead of horizontally. So there was a section with lots of meat, one with the mushrooms and rice at the bottom of the burrito. I was disappointed for a couple of reason. I don’t like dark meat, the burrito was not layered properly.
First time going, it wasn't bad. Just wish there was more input on the menu to have a little more information on our options. The choices we did make were good. I specifically liked the specialty chicken taco, really good and flavorful. I'm picky about my refried beans and enjoyed theirs.
Delicious. My gosh where to start...well three sopa of course!! 😄😘🙌👍 then onto tacos 3 different delicious tacos that won't disappoint!! You don't know until you GO GET SOME!!🙌😘😘 anyhow. I'm not much of an horchata person until today. No lies!! BEST well go try eat up fish tacos. Sopa azteca steak tacos....chorizo potatoe. I ordered to try. And I loved it❤💜
