This place is wonderful for 2 reasons:
1) The people are friendly and treat you well.
2) The food has ALWAYS been excellent!
I had gone yesterday and ordered the cheese samosa for an appetizer. Unfortunately they were only to make one before running out (the menu says that there should be two per order). So they gave me the last cheese samosa for free, and automatically placed an order of the veggie samosa as a replacement. Both were absolutely delicious!
The owner has always had great manners and quite friendly in my experience! I find that he loves talking to people and enjoys sharing his culture with his food. I think I surprised him because I asked for things to be VERY spicy! They were somewhat resistant because they knew how spicy the food can get. Their solution was clever! They made our food spicy just as we asked, AND they served us a small amount of Capsicum separately! This way, my girlfriend and I can add extra spice if we liked!
These little things make me reiterate my points that customer service is top notch and the food is wonderful!
I'm from California, I travel for business. I love Indian food and always try new indian restaurants whatever city I end up working in. I usually don't write reviews unless the place is completely amazing... This place freaking rocks! The food is amazing! The garlic nan will blow your socks off! Go to this place! You will be happy you did!

HOME COOKED MEAL!!!! I’m Indian been eating it since I was born.Been to New York been to India but nothing nothing compares. Been coming here for the last 30 years with my family , nothing has changed his consistency in cooking is amazing. the closest thing I have to a home cooked meal is this. Taste better than moms !!!
Just amazing! Wow! Delicious food. My first time today, I went in and looked at the menu while Mr. Ashoka helped me decide what to choose. He gave me a sample, and I instantly loved it. I got the Chicken Curry. One of the best dishes I have ever had! Thank you Mr Ashoka!

We LOVE Ashoka Restaurant! The food always tastes fresh and amazing. We have never had a dish we didn’t like! We have tried other Indian restaurants but ALWAYS come back to Ashoka! Highly recommended :)
I have been eating here since 2006 and I have no idea what took my so long to write this review. I move around a lot and travel quite a bit. Now that I am back in the area, this is one of the first places I went. I was so happy that it was still there and thriving.
I don't even know where to begin. Ashoka's is the best Indian food I have ever had. I have had Indian food in 4 countries and always compare it to Ashoka's. Not to mention they have CHEESE Samosas! It's like a little Indian pizza pocket from heaven.
I have brought friends in over the years and they always agree that the food is on point. If you can get Ashoka talking.. he is one of the funniest people. He has jokes.. seriously.
I would recommend trying it. It is not a huge place but very comfortable and once you go...you'll be back
Even though I regretted about choosing this restaurant initially due to the poor ambience and unclean toilets, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We had ordered all kinds of dishes ranging from naans to kebabs to biriyanis. The chicken and lamb entrees were heavenly. Naans were soft and fluffy. Garlic naans were phenomenal. I dint like the biriyanis though. We were a group of 12 and most of them liked the biriyanis as well. I would have given 5*s if the restaurant had clean washrooms. In any case food is what we went there for and it wad awesum. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try awesum north Indian food.
Really happy I went here, Ashoka Tano was here training with Anakin and got to watch while I ate. But the reason I gave this only 4 stars was because Padme came in very mad at Anakin since he had been away from home because of the Clone Wras which is currently happening. But overall I think Ashoka followed orders and it was great!
We tried this place on a whim. I was honestly surprised by this food. It was amazing food and very well priced. The package the food well for takeout. They are friendly.
I want to earn people the food that we have had has been more spicy than we expected. We like spicy so it works.but just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
Omg this restaurant has the best food around the area, for their food I want to give them 5 stars, cuz no matter what you order they wouldn't disappoint you. It's the authentic delicious Indian food which reminds me of Indian street and dhaba food.
The only reason why i took one star away,was the interior of the restaurant. It didn't look alive, there was no music and it needs a good update on everything inside (renovation). But again it's up to the owner, regardless of look,I'd go there for delicious food.
