Went for a Valentine’s Day lunch. Both my wife and I ordered chicken fried steak, and mashed potatoes and white gravy with an additional side. The mashed potatoes and steak were lukewarm and my steak was mostly gristle. My wife’s was lukewarm but her steak had less gristle. Her fried okra was good and my salad was good. Just wanted to let everyone know. It you don’t like cigarette smoke don’t go. We sat in non smoking and had to take a second look because I thought we were in the smoking section. They need a smoke eater if they’re going to have a smoking section. It looks like I’m not the only one to complain about the secondhand smoke.

Texas Traditions is about a small hole in the wrong place that you would not even realize was the rest if you weren't looking for it I believe. Food is good but not great. I've been there a couple of times now and enjoyed the food in the meals. Could be a lot better and a lot higher quality foot for a little place in the middle of nowhere I'm back Country Town it's good. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful and typically did a pretty good job at what they do. Not sure how clean maybe the place was but Buddhist decent. I know I'll be back cuz it's a little less pricey than a couple other places I have been yet some decent food. Oh, and watch out for that huge pothole in the driveway exiting, it might swallow your car.

I know a few people that like this place but not me. Smelled of stale smoke and was quite dirty. Plan on being there an hour if you go. I have went twice in the last 12 months on my lunch break and was late getting back to work today. It wasn't busy so it shouldn't have taken over 30 minutes to get our food. The waitress told me 15 minutes. everybody working at a snails pace. I don't believe our order was even turned in for the first 10 minutes. Took a little over an hour from the time we sat down until we actually left. That's the second and final time it will happen to me.

If you are going to complain about this place having a smoking section... DO NOT EAT HERE! I Love it, the food is amazing, home-cooked meals and homemade ranch.. it's a family oriented place and the waitresses who have been working there for years are just so loving and friendly! Being a very small town they get a few sketchy employees every now an then but they don't stick around long! It’s a 24 hour restaurant except on Sunday nights. The steaks are the best.. I get them extra seasoned! Amanda is my favorite waitresses but the older ladies also do a magnificent job! This place can get busy really quick! It's small so being patient is a must sometimes. When it is busy I would recommend letting your waitress know everything you need when she's at your table the first couple times because sometimes there might be a time where she physically can't get back to your table do to attending 7 other tables. Don't judge this little place when they are too busy, take the time to go during a not so busy day and I promise the experience will be 100 times better. If you've never worked in the restaurant industry long enough don't leave a nasty review based off of a one time experience. I go to this restaurant at least twice a week. My experience is different everytime. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day.
