Od's Kitchen

OD's is always delicious. This was my first time dining in with them. The chilaquiles were spicy and FANTASTIC. Great portions for great prices and the food came out hot & fast. Excellent service. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Gilroy. It's a hole in the wall for sure but it's a gem well worth your while.

First time here and I loved it! It is very cozy and homey. The wait isn't too bad, service is great, and the food is delicious. I especially loved that each coffee mug was unique, and a great cup of coffee at that. My sister had the biscuits and gravy and oh man that stuff was amazing! I was so caught up in the experience and company that I forgot to take pics but I definitely recommend O.D's Kitchen and definitely will be going back.

Our family was looking forward to dining here. We had driven up, about a half an hour away, to dine because of the great reviews. We came on a Monday, specifically when it might not be as busy and we were going to take it as a to-go order. There wasn't a line or anyone waiting. My 12-year-old daughter has food allergies and she asked if the potatoes had butter. The woman at the counter said, "no." My daughter ordered 2 eggs and bacon, and ordered poached eggs, the woman said, "no, only on weekends." However, at that point a woman came in the the door and the woman at the counter looked at her and asked what she wanted to order, and started helping this woman. Not even giving my daughter a chance to order anything else, or saying, please hold on a second and I can come back to you. My daughter left in tears because she was dismissed so rudely. We are genuinely always considerate to establishments, because we understand that we might have a couple of more questions with food allergies. We always tip really well, and we always order a great deal and take items home because we want to support restaurants, especially family-owned and during the rough times during Covid. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I am really surprised that a restaurant can treat patrons like this. We ended up going to Dany's. We are here now, they have poached eggs (and a great breakfast/lunch/dinner menu) and they were very welcoming!
