Reviews of Five Guys

Was my first time to a Five Guys. I was in sticker shock when we got the bill and thanked my lucky stars I wasn't paying. The fries were piled very high and tasted great. The burger was quite large as well (I had the bacon burger), they say well done and juicy. I'm afraid mine was medium - which I actually prefer - and juicy? Well, I think that greasy and juicy here are synonymous which is OK if you like that sort of thing, I don't like a burger that has a bun so sopping wet by the time you're halfway through that it's falling apart, just my preference. I enjoyed the music they pipe in even though much of it I didn't appreciate when it first came out. Was it worth twice the price of a Carl Jr's? I'm not sure it was. Would I go back? If you're buying.

This is the best Five Guys when it comes to French fries. The cajun seasoning is real! You can see the bits and pieces of other seasonings I've been so terribly disappointed by other sister locations like the one off Chandler Blvd by the mall, and another across from Hamilton High School. Both of those locations use a fine powdered cajun seasoning that's absolutely disgusting and cheap tasting. So glad to have discovered this location.

It's a 5 star place at a 5 star price. We live up north and came to the valley. Went out on Friday night and every restaurant in Chandler/Gilbert was an hour wait. The news media keeps saying the economy is struggling. Lol. Not in the East Valley. Went to 5 guys. Two single burgers, 2 small fries, 2 small drinks. $43.00 dollars. It's a good burger but your gonna pay for it.

So I guess the question is, is it worth the $12.28 that I paid for a cheeseburger? As I was sitting in my car outside five guys and in a competitor's parking space that said it was only for them (seriously screw them if it isn't a state or city law, I can park anywhere I want) I started thinking deeply if this was worth $12.28. The answer is yes. As I was once a cook, I sat there compiling everything that I knew about five guys burgers. First of all, it's a nice place , it's kept clean and the staff is always polite and working efficiently. I also have to remember that I believe that they pay their people about $17 an hour which is a ton more money I made when I was their age. But you ask why didn't you get the fries that are cooked in peanut oil? Oh I was thinking about it but I just decided that I didn't want to dump that much food into my body. I've always taken the philosophy that no matter what dinner or lunch or breakfast you have, you should never stuff yourself to capacity or if the complete and total misery like I've seen so many people do. So again remember it's a double cheeseburger the place is clean and you'll be getting it hot. So it is absolutely worth the $12.28 that you will pay if you're just getting an All-American cheeseburger. Good luck out there everyone! J.V.N

There is so much to love at Five Guys- the burgers are juicy and delicious, chili cheese hot dogs are fire, the fries are so fresh and yummy, AND my favorite, the FREE peanuts! It is on the pricey side and everything is à la carte so by the time you get a cheese burger, fries and a drink you’re well over $20, so take full advantage of the free peanuts.

Great service and some of the best burgers you can find in the world! Highly customizable and absolutely juicy and Delicious, these burgers must be tried. The staff is always friendly and it's amazing to watch how fast they move behind the counter. The french fries come in huge overflowing cups that will allow you to have way more fries then you plan on based on the cup size. There is often a ton of overflow fries that are poured into the bag, it is awesome.

Love this place, 'real' burgers like you make at home, on the the pre-press, thin patties you find elsewhere. One thing I noticed lately, and I don't know if it is just this location or if they are all doing it now is the 'extra scoop' of fries at the bottom of the bag is no longer done - almost to little to share now. (I love french fries)
