Reviews of Ahi Poki

We'll be back - the food was great, the staff was friendly and patient while I asked a bunch of questions, the dining room was spotless, the toppings were just right (not so much where you feel overwhelmed) and the portions weren't excessive like other poki places. My wife and I both had the 2 scoop bowl, she had double tuna and I had tuna + octopus with a variety of toppings.

I love this place, cheap and easy. I walk in, impossible for them to mess up your order, cause you tell them what you want as you go through the line. Good quality poki tuna, and the sauces they have, are good. You can almost guarantee me dining here, with my wife on a Friday night. We went for 3 weeks in a row, and when I asked for week 4, the wife said no. That would've been 5 weeks straight for her.

First time trying and was not disappointed. While the bowls/salads may look small for the price, the options are abundant and super filling. I got half/half regular bowl with spicy tuna and yellow tail, the house sauce, topped with: pickled radish, crab meat, seaseme seeds, masago, cucumber, green onion, and ginger. YUM!

This is my second time enjoying a lunch here and it thankfully was as good as it was the first time! I brought my husband to try it because it is like a delicious, deconstructed sushi roll and my husband loves Sushi more than anything. We both got the half and half, which is half brown or white rice and 1/2 salad and I chose tuna and salmon and my husband did the same, but added an extra scoop of spicy tuna. Last time I got shrimp and salmon, which was also good, but I figured it would be best to get their specialty of raw Ahi tuna versus shrimp that I can get anywhere. We both got most of the other toppings like the crab mix, edamame, cucumbers, green onion, red onion, seaweed salad, seaweed Flakes and fried onion flakes, masago and we both tried pickled radishes for the first time, which are nothing like you would think. They are great and unexpected. With a house sauce on top (mix of sesame oil and soy sauce), we mixed it all together and it was fresh and delicious. My husband convinced me to get an ice cream sandwich macaron and he was the bad influence for me getting my own. He chose green tea and because I don't like that flavor I opted to get the strawberry.

We went on opening weekend, so it was sheer madness. We waited over an hour because the line was so long and everyone wanted to try it. I’m glad we waited because it was positively delicious!! I didn’t love my salad that time, but that was my fault. The next time I went I had rice with the house sauce and ahi. This time I fell in love! It’s such a delicious combination of flavors. They have everything from mild to spicy and offer brown rice for us health nuts! And thankfully since it wasn’t the grand opening anymore the line was shorter.
