Wondering where we would eat, we decided to give Gordon Biersch Brewery a try, and we were sure glad we did! We each tried something different: wife had Chicken Schnitzel, son had Ham & Gruyere Pladina, and I had the Traditional Sausage Platter. We all enjoyed our choices. The good food was matched by the exceptional service we received from Abigail. The manager came by to ask us how we were enjoying our meals, and we assured her that all were fine. In fact, the portions were so large we ended taking some home to enjoy another day. Come on by and give it a try.

The Caribbean Coconut Shrimp with pineapple mango salsa are spot on. Service is always great and attentive so kudos to the hosts and waitstaff!!! However I am only giving 3 stars because we have also experienced poor quality food. First time here was in the fall during Octoberfest. I ordered Chicken Schnitzel which was over cooked and dry. The coating wasn't a nice golden brown rather a dark brown

Good food, Great Beer. The Marzen beer is my all-time favorite, but I enjoy all their brands. Waiting for your bill can be a bit long during really busy times, but other then that the service is fantastic and I can't really think of any complaints ive had over the few years I have been coming here. Generally I only stop in once a month or so, but this place has always been pretty good and has some sentimental value to me as I used to come here with my step-father before he passed away. The southwest egg rolls are likely my favorite food, but some of the products with gorgonzola butter are pretty good as well. I love when they have zucchini and squash as the seasonal vegetables option, but it can be hard to tell when it is in without asking. They also had an 'amazing' carlsbad soup in the past, but I have not seen any sign of it for a couple years now. I almost always ask about the soup of the day when I am in, and they have some pretty good options.

Went in for happy hour. Their happy hour menu list item selections as $3,$5 and $9. Selected California beach tacos, bone less wings and beef sliders. All was very filling. I found a hair in one of my beach tacos, called the waiter over showed it to him, he was very graciuos took the plate, brought me another order at my request. The chef on duty came over and apologized for the issue. Told me he paid for the orders not to worry about it. We then ordered the warm apple bread pudding. It was very good as well as filling. Walked away a satisfied customer. Great customer service. Staff friendly.

THIS IS AN ADDENDUM TO MY FIRST REVIEW. SINCE I WROTE THIS REVIEW GB HAS GOTTEN A NEW MANAGER AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE AT LEAST FOR MY WIFE AND I HAS BEEN 5 STAR. BELOW IS MY RATING AS OF SEVERAL YEARS AGO. IT WAS 3 STARS My wife and I both had lunch today at Gordon Biersch San Tan Village. We had the Goat Cheese Spinach salad. My wife's salad wasn't too bad as far as fix'ns go, she had the chicken one. I had the same salad with Salmon. I doubt that it had 1 ounce of cheese, it was suppose to have bacon maybe 1/2 strip, and egg I didn't even realize it had egg on it until my wife ask if I had enough egg. What egg? My salad was priced at $13.75. OVER PRICED! The service was good, but I probably won't return for any meals. Today was the first time back in 4 months. The last time I got probably the worst Blacken Chicken meal. They have got to work on the Quality and Quantity before they send it out to the customers.

Met friends for dinner. Had never been to this location. The food was outstanding. I had the shrimp and mango tacos off the lighter fare menu. Delicious. Everyone in our party was very happy with their selections. Waiter was attentive and pleasant. Kept us refilled on drinks without hovering. Overall fantastic experience.

I have visited this location frequently and can never get enough of the bar area and outdoor patio. I love the seating area and the comfortable and casual vibe. Every visit is pretty consistent and pretty good. If you're in the mood, the best dish here is the lobster and shrimp mac n cheese! It is so delicious and never disappoints. I remember my first time trying this years ago to the most recent and every time I'm satisfied. Although the dish has become smaller and smaller the flavor is still amazing! Other than that dish, the appetizer dip is very tasty and worth a try (great for sharing). The others dishes are pretty good but not worth raving about. I have enjoyed the fish and chips, halibut and mushroom pasta. In the end, I enjoy the vibe, brews and trying something new. I'm a fan.
