Food and drinks was okay. I got the fajita shrimp nachos. More cheese than anything. My sangria was good.

We always enjoy coming here on the weekends. Food is consistently good, and prices are fair. Service is hit or miss, but they have some really great servers (like Martin) if you get lucky.

If I could give a zero star review of this restaurant I would in a heartbeat. My father just ordered two items -- La Poblana with no meat and order #5 -- two cheese enchiladas with double rice. When my dad got home after 25 minutes of drive time to the restaurant, we ended up with shrimp (farm-raised crud, not even wild-caught) and chicken fajitas. My parents are vegetarians so this was just wrong. My dad called the restaurant and took the wrong order back to get a refund. When he got there, he asked the manager to replace the meal with the correct one due to the error and trouble. The manager got indignant and said "don't disrespect me" even though my dad was being perfectly nice. We will *never* eat at El Porton in Collierville again. And neither with any of our family, friends or followers. Nice move, El Porton.

Doesn’t feel real authentic when you look at the menu, but the food was tasty enough. Weird that the “specialties” don’t come with rice and beans, you have to order those separately. They do participate in Delta Dining-for-miles so that’s a plus!

Out of the locations in memphis, this one is definitely the best. Great service and the food is yummy. Big enough portions that I was able to split one entree with my mother and we had plenty of food.
