We’ve always wanted to try the Dusty Rose Tea Room in Georgetown and finally got the chance. On a cold, windy day we made our way to the Dusty Rose Tea Room where we were immediately welcomed in to the cozy house which had a very warm and inviting ambiance. We were shown to our reserved table where we were explained that we could switch out our teacups with any of the others on vacant neighboring tables, and also were described how the high tea would take place. We had a small booklet on the table where we could read about the history of the tea room and house as well as an extensive tea menu. We decided on a Darjeeling as well as the Lavender Earl Grey and tried the Fly Fishermen’s Retreat as well. All served in their own porcelain teapot complete with the cutest tea cozies. Next was the three tiered delicacies complete with cucumber sandwiches, scones and other sweet savory treats. All house made and delicious! We were told that we could ask for a story to be told by our lovely waitress which we entertained! We chose the story about the history of the tea room and women in business. It was very enlightening and interesting! We had been offered to wear a tea hat if we wanted and also received a souvenir photo. Sad news is that the tea room will be closing in mid-December unless someone takes it over. I hope someone does as this is a great destination spot! Well worth the visit!

I feel that the time is dialed back to a hundred years ago when I’m in this tea room. They even have the traditional hats that you can wear to indulge yourself more. The high tea desserts are delicious and the staffs are super friendly. Always a good experience when visiting Georgetown.

Delicious food in a beautiful location. Had the high tea with two friends and we had a great time! Jeanette shared with us some history of the town and it was a lovely afternoon.

The best high tea I've ever had. The menu is varied, delicious and generous. Every item is made in house. The owners and staff are gracious and made everyone in our party of 20 feel as though we were friends being entertained in their home. The historic building has been lovingly restored. Bottom line: If you enjoy "tea," The Dusty Rose is not to be missed!

We go to Dusty Rose Tea Room every year we visit Colorado and it's always one of the highlights of our vacation for my daughter and me. The tea is great (try the Black Bear Jasmine!) and their food, including their scones with lavender cream cheese, has always been delicious. They make it such a fun experience and you even get a story about the history of Georgetown or fun facts about tea. Highly recommend for history and tea lovers!
