More Than Cake

Let me just say-I LOVE this place! I just started coming to More Than Cake this summer, and I would recommend it to everyone, from Georgetown locals to visitors. Desserts-There is a wonderful (and delicious) variety of sweets! There are classic flavors, and then really unique ones, too :) eclairs, macaroons, cupcakes, turnovers, mini pies, I could go on and on! Today I took a little girl I was babysitting there, and she picked out a red velvet cupcake. Then Leshia made her the most amazing ice cream, mixing in the cupcake! It was cool to watch, and also tasty. Food-I took a couple friends from IL to More Than Cake for brunch, and man oh man, they're regular food is incredible! The biscuits and gravy was fantastic, chicken and dumplings was incredible, and I have never been so pleased with eggs and toast! Since the bread is fresh, the toast is no joke. I have never had toast that delicious :) � I also love that they support other local businesses. Oh, and the pancakes are great, too! Made from scratch! Service-100%! Leshia is such a kind lady who clearly knows how to run a business! She always takes extra time to talk to customers when she isn't in the kitchen or working with the other employees. Everyone else in her crew is friendly and treat guests kindly. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this place. This is my new favorite bakery, brunch, and lunch spot in town!!! It is guaranteed that I will be back quite often :)

Loved stopping in to have lunch and grab goodies to take home to the family. The owner and her staff are all so personable and greet you as soon as you come in the door. They are happy to answer any questions you have and accommodate your personalized order for baked goods. Came in on Thursday for their Chicken and Dumplings, which are amazing. You can tell they take pride in the quality and quantity of their food as well as the presentation. They make amazing hand made breads as well - make sure to take home a loaf of the Salt Rise if it's available. Took home cupcakes to the family. They asked when we were going back for more. The chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting was amazing.

More than cakes catered a wedding today, and not only is their food phenomenal their staff is AMAZING!! They made the event. What spectacular folks!! Ummm the food is utterly Devine!

I hired More than Cake for my Wedding recently. The catering was the best part. Food was amazing, chicken was tender, had dozens of compliments from my guests that they enjoyed the food. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

More Than Cake catered a Thanksgiving meal for my workplace with little notice and it was absolutely out of this world delicious! Turkey, dressing, green beans, corn pudding, mashed potatoes, and banana pudding! Everything was home made, delivered on time, and was not your run of the mill food! Everything at this establishment, from the breakfasts, lunch specials, and desserts, is made from scratch, cooked to order, and leaves you wanting more, more, more!!! HIGHLY recommend everything on the menu! And the owner and staff are always friendly, accommodating, and truly salt of the earth people!
