If you're looking for a good place to start your night or to just set down and enjoy a good dinner before your night begins this a definitely a place to recommend! Wonderful atmosphere, great servers. You will never not be met with an eager smile! I definitely recommend you ask for Jill she was such a delight tonight, great energy and recommendations! I had the Stuffed Mushrooms ($7) fried (+$2), the Lasagna ($12.50), and the cannolis ($5) for desert! I had a Long Island Ice tea ($7) to drink with a glass of White Zinfandel ($6) for desert! The Mushrooms definitely stole the night! (I was glad to take Jill's recommendation on that one!) I only had one large complaint and one small complaint about my time here this evening. The large complaint was the bathrooms were quite a mess and my miner complaint was that the outside furniture need some attention! Other than those things my time there was great! Great people, great service, and a great view of the city! Bon appetit!:^)

One of my favorite bars of all time. I lived in Georgetown for two years in my late 20s, and this bar was my favorite place. So many good memories. Everything a community bar should be: regulars, live music, good bartenders, friendly owner. Laid back, but not a dive bar. Great patio that l watched many a sunset on... Highly recommend.

Great food. Awesome staff. Great "bluesy" style band tonight. We had a tiny problem with a drink/bar order. The manager made it right in mere seconds, without a second thought. Not what I expected, but much better. Highly recommend the jalapeno bacon shrimp bites. I will definately go back.

I am a fairly new (2 yrs) to Georgetown since moving from Connecticut & California. I’ve been to this place maybe 4 times. The 1st was awesome! Ate outside w/my husband & loved the views & taking in the charm of Texas! Since then, I’ve been again w/my husband (for half a drink) & a couple times with a girlfriend who’s younger & a native of Gtown. The experience has been okay but strange!!! The name and the establishment are NOT synonymous!! It’s definitely more for a younger crowd which I don’t mind. The staff all look like they’ve been parting hard for years!!! It’s not uptown and it’s social for the drunk crowd. The male bartender is incredibly unhappy, kind of a d&ck, really. The 20-somethings who like to party hard were having a blast which doesn’t bother me but GET A NEW NAME!!!! It’s not an Uptown Social whatsoever. Sorry guys!!

Food was good and beer decently priced. Off crowd. The couple in front of us is what drove us out of there quick. They were making out at the bar top and the guy was touching his woman inappropriately. Made our whole experience there difficult to enjoy. There are also constantly people going from sitting and having drinks at the bar top to going to the back in the kitchen. Very different place, probably won't return.

Arrived in Georgetown a little late, checked into a lousy Days Inn (I will post my review on that later). Met up with our friends and they brought us to The Uptown Social. Adorable place, good food and great service. The best part is I had the pleasure of hearing and meeting "King V". He is one seriously talented and smooth musician. His soulful voice was so clear and so awesome. He demonstrated his talent by his effortless ability to make his guitar do magical things to our eyes and ears. So much soul in his voice you could swear you were in New Orleans. King V was a very nice man too. I'd love to hear him perform again!!!

Great spot to sit on the outside roof deck in the fall winter or spring months and enjoy the cool evenings with a cold draft beer. Not so great in the hot summer unless there is a breeze. Great spot for a large group who like to mingle and enjoy visiting with each other without worrying about being too loud.
