I've been coming here since I was a. Kudos and always loved it. I haven't been here in ten years and it's still very very good. However the shrimp have changed. They used to have a totally different taste and look that was uniquely different from anywhere else and if that didn't change I would have given them 5 stars...
This is still my goto S.C. fish joint especially if they got SPOTS... (They put a hurtin on that) 😋😋😅

The salmon patties are great but that talapia is delicious. The grits were so so good i left there wanting to go to sleep.

Food came out quickly - hot, fresh, and flavorful. Wide variety of fish to choose from.
Price was good, especially given the quantity of food on a platter!
Steady lunchtime crowd on a Tuesday.
Easy free parking, counter service only with a clean dining area. I would happily return if I found myself in town again!

Just had the catfish n shrimp meal. My husband had the flounder n shrimp meal. Absolutely delicious, huge meal for both of us. We will be going back, maybe for the breakfast. Very friendly place.

Lamar's has the BEST DAMN, GRITS on the Planet!! He explained to me it took him 50 years to master the taste! You can tell once smooth, creamy, smokey, buttery texture hits your Tastebuds. And I can't forget the Incredibly Delectable, fried Whiting Breakfast...!!
