The Pie Dump

What a lovely, quaint, charming place! I've had donuts from here before and their enormous cinnamon roll, they are excellent. I really wanted to try their breakfast. I was expecting something more like Angie's in Logan. This is more of a little Ma & Pa stop. I loved the ambiance of the dining room. It felt like being welcomed into a friend's log cabin. The counter service was great, not having to wait for a server made for a quick trip. Self serve drinks are always nice. Since we hadn't dined here before they gave us a complimentary hot roll with brown gravy! How wonderful and refreshingly kind - and delicious! That roll was excellent! It's like four Maddox rolls all rolled into one with butter already inside. I'm not a brown gravy fan normally but that was a welcome snack, my husband LOVED it, tasty and salty in all the right ways. The nice lady at the counter instructed us to, "rip & dip!" Yum! Our breakfast was good, not the best ever (the white sausage gravy - on the biscuits and gravy - was pretty gritty and bland) the biscuits were great, the sausage was wonderful, the eggs were ok, the fried mashed potatoes were unique and flavorful. I would definitely return. I think you can tell how much a business owner cares about their establishment and customers by the quality of their restrooms, by that measure, this is a wonderful place - beautiful, clean, fresh, large bathroom. Thanks Pie Dump for a great stop between Utah and Idaho.

We have always been fans in the past but at this most recent visit at the end of October, despite signs up in the store affirming that the restaurant values public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, no masks were being worn on the premises by patrons, servers OR kitchen staff. And every table available was taken, with no efforts at social distancing. I wouldn't advise visiting at this time until they start demonstrating some care for their customers.
