Found this place randomly while searching for a good Chinese Restaurant in the South Bay.
The food was decent. The combination fried rice was not as oily as I’m used so I was confused to whether it is great or just a lighter iteration lol Mongolian beef was really good. Chow mein was ok too. The fried pork dumplings were excellent.
Service was quick. Food was ready in 15 mins.
I think it’s a good back up spot if your usual spot has long wait times.
This is the Chinese food I’ve been searching for since moving to the area. I’m beyond pleased and will definitely be telling others. I ordered way too much for my family but nothing went to waste. It was just as good after heating up. We were the only English speaking table in a room full of happy people enjoying their food. I actually ordered plates because I saw what others were eating and loved ALL of it. Great atmosphere, great food, not cheap, but we’ll worth it.
Highly recommend the place. A hidden gem in a tiny plaza, that's close by shopping markets. Swing by here to get lunch/dinner after your groceries.
We tried 3 dishes and all were delicious.
- Jia Jiang Mian - noodles in black soybean sauce and small chunk of pork (they have vegetarian version too). The sauce is on a more "watery" side and lighter flavored than other place I have eaten. However, the sauce clings well to super springy noodles (very al dente) and sweet onions are nice, tender, and sweet. It was a nice change and hit my craving for this dish as it paired super well with
- Sweet and Sour pork - the pieces were super crispy and there is plenty of them in the serving. The sour/sweet sauce was well balanced and not too over powering. As to veggies, your usual suspects of green peppers, onions, and pineapple.
- Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) - I got this mild, but all I can say is... GET IT. It has super deep seafood flavor, smoky, well seasoned. I can say the ingredients were cooked in the wok first then noodles + soup was added in the bowl. Highly recommend.
I also thoroughly enjoyed their homemade kimchi and serving of hot tea.
The prices for the area is adequate and I will definitely coming back to try more dishes.
PS. They can split the order of (both) noodles for easy sharing from the kitchen.
Chinese food here is delicious. No skimping on the serving and the taste is fresh, hot and never a let down. Their green beans and orange chicken is my go to dishes as well as their chicken fried rice or pork fried rice. Their customer service is always a happy go lucky attitude and a very clean restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
The food was so delicious and cool environment.
Good food. Have come here many years and the taste is still the same. Will come back.
Been coming to this restaurant for years, still great food and service! My son love the black bean noodles, as I did when I was young and memories of my parents taking me to eat noodles. Also try to deep fried shrimp with sweet sauce, it is to die for~
Best semi greasy chow mein I've had. I just wish there was more beef than veggies, next time I'll have to let them know but regardless it's a five star ma and pop spot.
