This is the best fried fish I’ve had in my life.
It’s the only place I go to for fried fish - it’s perfectly flash fried and broiled ! Every piece is crispy, the fish is perfectly moist.
I went with a medium fish for 3 people. then came back the next day and ordered a small fish to eat myself
It’s truly that amazing
We devoured that fish
The place is a bit hidden. Its located in the back of the market and up the stairs. We came a little bit close to closing but the ladies there were still really nice, welcoming and made fresh food for us. The fish is super delicious and tastes fresh and crispy. The people were accommodating and the sauces were good. We would def come back again.
This is a hole in the wall restaurant run by two women and an elderly gentleman. The food and service is painfully slow and you likely will not get refills on your drinks unless you ask for one. However, once the food is out, it’s super duper tasty and filling. Two medium grilled fish will feed a table of seven.
the fastest way to get into the restaurant is at the back of the building up a staircase. there are stray cats everywhere back there, so it smells like feces and garbage in the parking lot. if that’s not your thing, go through the front of the building. there will be a staircase inside that leads to the restaurant.
The restrooms are whack. They’re located outside the restaurant in the hallway. There’s no mirror or paper towels in the women’s restroom. They have a sign that says to please try to keep the place clean because they likely can’t afford a maintenance crew.
Despite the shortcomings, I’ll still come back when I’m in the mood for Vietnamese grilled fish.
This place is part of a cafeteria above a supermarket but nighttime most of the food stalls are closed except for this one. Staff don't speak much English so it's either point to a picture menu or bring someone with you that speaks Vietnamese. Their baked fish is a must try but you'll need at least four (recommend six) hungry souls to chow this down as their fish can be three to four pounds. Their Vietnamese Crepe is done right with lot of crispiness and strong coconut flavor with ample vegetables to accompany it.
Funny people great food, great atmosphere. Hidden gem in socal. Definitely recommend.
