A nice stop on my vacation miss out on the food on a Sunday 545 starting. The service was great and layed back in low lit atmosphere .A there games casino style around.I'd stop back again

We have friends that swear by the food. Us? Meh. It's bar food. Had pizza and catfish. Bartender was friendly and kept drinks filled. 5 stars for atmosphere because it's got that dive feel but isn't really a dive. We have been here a few times and will come back again. It's a friendly, safe bar with a lot of locals. Overall we recommend.

Comfortable neighborhood pub with great drinks and food. The fried catfish is exceptionally good. I’m also a fan of the chopped steak w brown gravy and onions. Great location off the strand with a small parking lot. Owner and bartenders are friendly and I’ve never had a problem getting a seat at the bar. Recommended

It's Lent season and you know us Catholics need our fish on Friday. I was searching for a place on the island that served decent fish and saw the reviews. CLAIRE gave high remarks about the fish. I am from the island and never like any of the restaurants fish meals because we can make our own at home so we are picky. Let me tell you! If you want hot fresh homemade cornmeal fish this is your place!!!!!!! Jack's can I just get a bucket of fried fish and skip the rest of the dinner?! I ate all my fish in the car on the way home and I think I need to come back. That fish deserves five stars! Get extra green beans! They are delish!!!

This place was a true Irish pub! Our first time there and we were very impressed, especially with the food! They were one of the only places open with kitchen, late night. The bartender, Paul was fabulous too!

Perfect little spot....nice bar menu, good beer prices, great atmosphere...indoor smoking, gotta love it... Brittany was the server, friendly and attentive...will be back for sure...fantastic find on the Strand!

Ha! Google U MAY NOT Like this: I went there on Random Suggestion of a local, Lady at American Legion post! I was tired of zipping endlessly thru yer crazy, Hard2-keep-Aligned maps! Oh I'll just ask someone! Easy 2 find, by bicycle...oh 1 minor thing . They shud Hava bikerack 4 locking. Big ol plate o catfish strips, coleslaw etc,BIG baked tater 4 a lil Xtra. CUDNT EAT it all. 2 beers, spent More than I usu. Do. Singer Britney on a stool was popular. MAY NEVER Be in Galveston again, kinda far...but...

Excellent!! How could I have lived here 11 years and never been in this place? Well that has changed! Pork Chop plate with mashed potatoes and corn is enough for TWO PEOPLE!! Best corn dogs on Galveston Island. You’d think you were at the State Fair in Dallas. Fletcher’s? They’re not but damn close! Going back today for pizza and maybe a cheeseburger... haven’t decided yet. C’mon 5:30!! That’s when the kitchen opens.

Jack’s Pub in downtown Galveston has a lively crowd of locals (Dave and Robin) that had us laughing within minutes after we walked in. After searching for an hour, for a place to eat late night foodies, we found this pub had a wide variety of tasty eats on the menu. We had fried catfish and a pepperoni pizza, both served hot and were very delicious - they have a great late night cook! Drinks were refreshing and Bartender Brittany was very attentive. I highly recommend Jack’s Pub on Post Office Street in Galveston, Texas.

Only place open till 2 down here what it seems like and it's perfect. Went around 1 am and I was just looking for somewhere to get food and the kitchen was still open it. Gotta love a place like this. Bartender was dope and my order was fresh and delicious. Good catfish and tarter sauce. I even stayed for a couple of drinks because the vibe was so chill in there. Pool table and dart boards. With TVs and a full bar. If I lived in Galveston I would definitely be a regular here. This is my kinda small but big atmosphere bar. Love it.
