It’s so good we had to go back! We really enjoyed the friendly staff and delicious food and drinks.

I appreciate as soon as you walk in they sit you down and get you a glass of water and ask your order. The queso and chips was great. The drinks are OK. Their flour tortillas, or store-bought, I would recommend corn tortillas or chips.

This was my 1st time to come to Tortugas. My daughter and her friends have been before. I didn’t want anything big, so I ordered the Taco Salad, well I was totally disappointed. It was ALL LETTUCE and very little meat. It looked really nice when it came out but it was a big disappointment. I personally will not be getting the taco salad again, I like more stuff in it, besides just LETTUCE. My friend ordered the salmon and she loved it. My daughter and granddaughter split the chicken fajitas. Green sauce is good, you have to ask for it.

The new location offers more wonderful opportunities to enjoy the gulf being upstairs. The music was so loud we couldn’t talk but the manager turned it down some & it was a far better experience than at the old location. Really really good. The Perfect Patron margarita is not to be missed!! The desserts were off the chain. OMG Even better the next day!!! It’s absolutely worth getting the dinner and taking it home to enjoy it the next day!!! Unbelievable!!!! This tequila lime shrimp dinner with Chiles Toreados is THE BOMB!!!!

Food was delicious. We sat outside and the breeze felt amazing. Our server was nice and got our order out quickly. The margarita was a bit light but satisfying and fresh in this humidity. All three plates were delicious. No complaints here. 👌

Went there for dinner. I ordered a fajita with rice, black bean, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and flour tortillas. The food was good. I also ordered a jalapeno margarita. It was a perfect accompaniment. Little bit pricey. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

This restaurant used to be at a different spot on the Seawall, but I never got to eat at that location before they moved. They’re now located in a small shopping center a little ways down on the 2nd floor. There is also elevator access, for those that are unable to use the stairs. My family and I stopped in here for a bite to eat after a day of exploring the Galveston Railroad Museum. We were greeted by several staff as we entered. The atmosphere from the start was great, relaxed and comforting. I ordered the Beef Chimichanga but switched my meat for Chicken Fajita, it comes with a side of refried beans and rice, I asked for charro beans instead. My husband ordered the Steak Al Carbon. My son got the kid’s pizza. We ordered Sopapillas and they were delicious! I also ordered a Long Island, it wasn’t mixed right. So I asked to order a different drink instead, a Mai Tai. Got my drink and it wasn’t much better. Bartender needs to touch up on their skills, because the drinks were not good at all. (Which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) The food was good, and satisfying. Our waitress (name started with a T) was wonderful, and made sure we were taken care of! Also the hostess did a great job seating us away from the crowd, as we had our 6 week old with us. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner with a beautiful view of the beach!

I’m reviewing this from my last experience here . I’m here again today because it wasn’t bad . Outstanding view of the ocean . Street tacos were very good . My bf loved his jalapeño margarita and I had the blue horizon . The drinks were a bit mild, so today I added a shot . The only complaint I had from my last visit is the steel chairs out front, firstly they are not comfortable, secondly they have grates, thirdly I had grid marks and black paint flaking off my legs . It’s 100 degrees out . This time we are sitting at the bar . I wish they had backs to these chairs for support . I have 2 fusions . But the view is awesome , drink is delicious, Dominique has been attentive and nice . It’s also not overcrowded like everywhere else in town which I prefer . Lots of parking . We Had fajitas with beans and rice today . They were better than average . Beens a bit too runny but flavor was good. Spanish rice is hard to find that is just right , this was very enjoyable!

Loved this place! Marvin, our server was great! The veggie fajitas were delicious! Plenty of options! The only thing to note is that they are located on the second floor and there are lots of stairs. This is not ideal for walking impaired individuals.

We had such an amazing dinner at Tortuga Mexican kitchen in Galveston. This place is located right on the beach and has a upper deck view. Their margaritas are amazing and we recommend everybody trying them out from their bar. We got a little bit of everything. Their appetizer with the stuffed shrimp jalapeño poppers were amazing. I got the fajitas and they were Steaming and sizzling at the table making everyone turn their hands. We love you so much and we finished up dinner with the funnel cake which was the best part. Make sure to check this place out the next time that you were in Galveston, Texas. And also follow us on all of our social media pages for more of Texas!

My wife and I enjoyed everything from the chips and salsa to the food each of us ordered. I ordered a burrito which was WAY bigger than I anticipated, but was very good! We both ate for about $35 which seems impossible these days, and the portions were not skimpy. The owner came over and made sure everything was good and came out right for us as well. We Will definitely be returning!

The beef fajitas were good, the flour tortillas were good, but the charro beans and rice were no good at all the charro beans tasted very sour like the cook put too much beer or vinegar on the beans. The rice was caky and felt more like a paste. One of the employees was emiting very negative energy, she looked like she was angry at everybody could be personal but leave that outside. Luckily our waiter was very professional.

Visited Tortuga on Easter Sunday. We chose to sit on their patio, which has a lovely view of the Gulf. It's separated by the highway and highway noise, but still nice and shaded. The tables were not in great repair, but I guess that is the price of a restaurant in the salt air. Service was good. Food was tasty, if unremarkable. They offer margarita flights, which were adorable and delicious. My husband really liked the prickly pear, but my favorite was the house lime. Tortuga is a good spot for Mexican classics. We would visit again..

The wait staff was amazing and very very helpful. The food was not up to the price that we paid for it. The ambience was nice. It was a pleasant respite from the heat of the seaside.

Fresh Tex Mex, frosty drinks, great portions, and cool beachy atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting Tortuga’s again!

The food here is so good. Dylann was the lady who waited on us and she is awesome. It is our anniversary and they took great care of us. Beautiful views of the ocean while at our table. We will be back every time we come to Galveston.
