Review Cafe In The Park - Galveston

Comfortable atmosphere and nice to have a location on-site. Downside - it's expensive, especially for breakfast. Service was okay (3 stars at best), but our waiter was very nice, so 5 stars for him. We only went for dinner our first day there but went elsewhere for the duration of our stay. Good kids menu that was comprised of all the essential meals kids eat (grilled cheese, chicken tenders, etc) 😋 👌

Ah mah gurd! Just... yeah... the lobster bisque yall... just get you a lobster bisque and shut the hell up. Mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmm ommmmmmmmg mmmmmm creamy mmmmmmmm lobstery mmmmmm just what in the hell are they doing back there? Maybe try with some sandwich or something, but I just had the cup... wishin I got the 5 gallon bucket. Update: Yeah.. it's a month later and I'm still craving that bisque y'all

We dined here multiple times over our 3 night stay. The first waiter we had was not very personable and extremely abrupt especially for breakfast. Thankfully, William stepped in and saved the day setting us up for a wonderful day. At lunch Aurelia kept the wonderful service going and her recommendations helped us truly enjoy ourselves. The next morning we had Aurelia serve us again which helped us stay relaxed and made for a great start. The last morning we requested William again so that we could thank him for helping get our vacation back on track when someone else had tried to derail it. I will definitely be dropping in for breakfast or lunch when we head to UTMB Galveston for medical reasons in the future. William and Aurelia are the type of staff places like this need to keep happy because they make your guests happy.

Have been to this restaurant twice and I have to say that me and my family enjoy the food and service. It does take a little while if you need extra condiments or a refill but overall the waiters are very nice and help out as much as they can. We have been to breakfast and dinner and both times we were treated great. If your are staying at the hotel kids 6 and under eat free with a paid adult entree so that is a plus for us since we have little ones.

Came in with a crew of 10 people. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Order a cup of their shrimp gumbo. I gotta say was cooked very well good flavor. Main entre was stake and fries. I ordered the stake rare, chef did a good job of cooking it to order. Fries were pretty good too then weren’t just plain fries they had oil, a little bit of shredded cheese, chives and herbs. Side salad was nothin special but it was fresh and a health portion. Over all a very pleasant experience I would definitely come back again.

Came in for a visit! Breakfast buffet was amazing lots of really good choices! Mimosas are delicious! I personally ordered the chicken and biscuit, the chicken was amazing and super juicy! Service was amazing as well the waitress was so kind, definitely recommend.

Made brief mention of this place as part of my hotel review. Came here with a group of other parents after sending our kids off to enjoy their Prom. The buffet was seafood heavy. While the price for the buffet was good, my wife and I do not enjoy seafood, so we elected to order from the menu, as did the other two couples with us. The prices were reasonable, and that was even more impressive considering how inflated hotel restaurant prices can be! Our sever was a new fellow who was a bit nervous, but very conscientious and careful in making sure our orders were taken down and delivered correctly. Everyone enjoyed their meals in a relaxing and unhurried atmosphere. We probably spent two hours there altogether. Drinks were enjoyed - I assume from the large bar out in the main lobby. Those prices were also reasonable. My generously sized Long Island Tea was $9. I've never stayed at a hotel in Galveston before as we usually just make a day trip out of such visits. However, with our experience at the hotel and at the Cafe, I could easily see us making a return visit for a relaxing weekend.

We had the 12oz Ribeye and it was cooked exactly as we wanted. The potato salad wasn't the best I've had but was better than average. Grilled corn and black bean salad was top notch.

Nice restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Clean and good menu. Good buffet for breakfast. Good variety for vegan and vegetarian people.

The lobster bisque is to die for! Hummus is really good as well.

Food is hotel food, somethings really good others not so much. Now the service, the service really depends who you get, which is good and bad. Most waiters are great, but some are horrible, they take your order and never see again until the bill and tip. I went out of my way to tip a different waiter who helped us out rather then the main one. But besides that, it's good food

The crab cake was the best crab cake I have ever had

Ty Brianna for excellent service! We found this Cafe for a late lunch after Moody Gardens rainforest ... All 6 got what they wanted from teens to parents and Nana!

Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult buffet. The avocado toast was good. Service was slow.
