Review Shrimp N Stuff - Galveston

We went here off of a recommendation from an old friend. Don’t pay attention to the overall look of the place as the staff and food make up for first impression. I had the (3) shrimp tacos and wow was the a hit! The staff was great and I will definitely go here again the next time I’m in the area😎

Fantastic giant portion of Shrimp Po Boy combo and Onion Rings! Great recommendation from the locals. The atmosphere does feel kinda diner / sticky, but it’s a delicious quick bite and I’d go again!

We stumbled on this place when we were looking for somewhere to eat that did not have a long wait. This place was my favorite place we ate while we were visiting the coast! The server was very nice. The woman that served us our food was so friendly, we really enjoyed visiting with her. The food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and then shared that as our meal so we could try a little of everything. We started with the crab claws off of the happy hour menu. They were so good. The butter you dipped them in was amazing. Then we had the besitos. These were our favorites. (I am going to try to make them when we get back home. ). We also tried the fried crawdads. They were also delicious. We also had a salad with raspberry and mango dressing. Everything was so good! Make sure you visit this establishment while you are in. Galveston.

Come expecting a tasty meal, good portion size, reasonable prices, excellent service and a clean comfortable atmosphere. This is where the locals dine. We make it a regular stop every time we visit.

A no frills restaurant with simply great seafood and a wonderful brownie dessert that is shareable. I had the fried seafood platter, while my wife had grilled chicken. The food was fresh, crispy, and piping hot. Our waitress, Mikhaila(?), did an outstanding job of serving us. She was very amiable, and as a previous reviewer stated, willing to answer questions about her nationality and country. We will be back and hope to see Mikhaila again! She is definitely an asset to this establishment!

My husband and I were on a day trip to Galveston and we were looking for seafood but didn’t want to spend a weeks budget. We found this place on a search. I highly recommend this local restaurant. The quality of the food is exceptional and like someone else posted the Besitos are to die for! The price point is more than reasonable. You won’t regret eating here!

I have long wanted to try this place. I always heard it's where the locals go. Mardi Gras made a lot of restaurants very crowded that day. This led for the perfect opportunity to try Shrimp N' Stuff. I loved everything about it! It took me back in time when Galveston had several restaurants with a community, family style, vibe. It's become increasingly difficult to find a great Gulf Coast whole stuffed flounder. Shrimp and stuff had it. It was presidential. I would serve it to a King. Exceptional! Everyone else in my party loved their food. It's definitely a place I'll enjoy again.

Absolutely great place. The dining atmosphere is just something else, food popular with locals, even more than tourists, which really shows its a memorable experience. The staff is super kind, friendly and helpful. Food is spectacular, plenty of options. You could even say the prices are too low for the level of food served. Seems like inflation forgot about this place. By far the best shrimp place in Galveston, maybe even south east Texas. Cлава україні!

Excellent meal and excellent service. My waitress was from Moldova. She was willing to answer questions about her country. Food was served uickly and to order. The crabcake burger was delicious. Great music and friendly staff. Bought my husband a t-shirt and a yard sign supporting the Ukraine.

Me and my family's first trip to Galveston together and found this Gem. Shrimp and Stuff has a very homie feel and the food was amazing! ALL OF IT! The Cajun pasta, fried or grilled catfish, the sides as well. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for a place with peel and eat shrimp. They have it and it was wonderful. We made our dinner entirely of appetizers. 2 plates of shrimp, some crab balls and, the stuffed shrimp. All delicious. Great service and a nice "hole in the wall" local vibe. Really enjoyed it. And the key lime pie was great too!

If you appreciate good seafood this place is a must. We enjoyed fried oysters, fried shrimp and grilled salmon. The sides were almost better than the entree. Green beans, grilled squash and zucchini, jalapeño fried rice and cole slaw were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our plates were delicious. This dinner was better than any Landry or Willie Gs I've ever had. Best in Galveston Houston area. The service was ok. If you aren't a local resident you aren't important. And that local feel-good welcome is quick. We watched as the supper time rush filled the restaurant. Those locals were welcomed with hugs, smiles and waves. Also, the service for the locals was different. A plate of lemons was delivered to each tables with the drink orders. We had to request a slice of lemons three times. The atmosphere was very stero typical beach side Cafe white walls, white floor, table and chairs with a small bar without the beach front view. We asked what the seasoning was on the green beans and the gal who answered us seemed annoyed that we were asking questions. Although the service for us wasn't anywhere close to Texas style or Galveston hospitality, the food, which is all that matters, was amazing!!! The locals seem to be enjoying themselves and loved the service. We will definitely be back.

A Galveston Staple when it comes to good seafood! My husband has been going there since he was in college and now it’s our tradition. We love to share our plates, so we can try all of our favorites! You can’t go wrong with your order, but here are our faves: gumbo, fried crawfish, grilled shrimp, coconut shrimp, grilled flounder & hush puppies. Finger licking good! Oh and a family favorite is the happy hour special…the crab claws! Just try it! Thank you shrimp n stuff & until next time…can’t wait!!

Excellent! Had the fried shrimp platter. It tasted so good, I myself so full but couldn't stop eating because it was that good.. Staff was friendly. Would definitely go back. My sister in-law got the sea food platter and hers was just as good. Oh and the jalapeño crab poppers were full of crab and had great flavor. Had to go back a second time also. Got a grilled chicken sandwich and my sister in-law got a shrimp and oyster po-boy. Ordered a cheese cake for myself and she got fried bread pudding I think. Well worth going to this place if you are in the area.

Of the two downtown seafood spots we visited this was the best. I could not say one negative. The catfish changed my definition of catfish! The fish tacos the best I've ever had. My husband stuffed flounder was absolutely delicious, and the popcorn shrimp sets the bar for popcorn shrimp! I can't praise this place enough. We'll be back for sure.

Been coming to the downtown location since it was in the courtyard behind the Tremont. RhaeVaughan always remembers me and is friendly and efficient. I’ve had the seafood stuffed jalapeños, Besitos, fried oysters, fried shrimp basket, cold boiled shrimp and just tried the cold shrimp salad. It’s enough for two! Filled with large cold boiled shrimp in a remoulade sauce, diced tomatoes, eggs, cucumbers and sliced avocados on top of a bed of mixed greens. Absolutely delicious! Never been disappointed here and the new location on 25th is larger. My daughter had the shrimp PoBoy and fries and left nothing on her plate. Husband had fried shrimp and same result. He LOVES their hush puppies! Thank y’all! Update: went 7/8/21 for cold boiled shrimp, 14 for &12, big & juicy with great flavor. Husband had cole slaw and hush puppies on the side. We sat at the bar, Mihaela was efficient, welcoming and courteous! Update: I tried the Shrimp Salad Stack today. Oh my goodness the delicious. A side salad of mixed greens, crisp toast points and a tower of avocado, tomato and shrimp salad. I asked for a ride of remoulade instead of the Italian but it comes with an olive oil pesto underneath the tower of deliciousness, so I really didn’t need the remoulade but theirs is so good I ate about half. Paired with a super cold Sauvignon Blanc and RhaeVaughns smile and subtle attentive waiter style…I was a happy camper. He always says “see you tomorrow” which I find endearing, confident and thought provoking. Everything super fresh as always!
