I've eaten at a lot of steakhouses and I'm pretty picky when it comes to steaks. I had the Cajun Steak called the Breaux Bridge Sirloin and it was to die for. One of the best steaks I've ever eaten in my life. My wife had the Ribeye and she also said it was the best steak she's ever eaten. Crab cake appetizer was incredible. Service was out of this world. We had Gabby as our waitress and she was amazing and made some good recommendations for us. We were visiting galveston on vacation and all the restaurants we tried were just ok. This one blew everything else out of the water. I wish we had one in Arizona where we live. To top it all off we had the carrot cake which was so good we had to get a second piece to go. I was told this location has had the same cook since it opened over 20 years ago and you can tell everyone in the kitchen has everything perfected and is 100% on point. I will never forget the meal we had :)

Dwayne was a great. Funny and laid back. The food was good, I had the porterhouse and tried the ribeye with the fried asparagus. I would definitely recommend.

This is one of the best saltgrass we have been to. The manager is awesome. Staff is attentive and friendly. Food is always delicious. Cold beer. Great views of the water. Oh, and you must try the carrot cake. it's to die for. Will continue to keep coming back when in town.

Outstanding place. The food selection, quality, taste, and style are excellent and unique (beside the main courses, just to highlight that the cheesecake taste is above any cheesecake I tasted so far). The service is also exceptional (fast, accurate, very friendly and caring, to mention here the excellent service Delilah provided). I have been there in the past and I had always the same great opinion. I strongly recommend this place!

What a wonderful dining experience!! We've only been there once before for our anniversary 2 years ago and it is still the best place we've been. Never thought we'd be back in Galveston but when we found out we were going, Saltgrass immediately came to mind.
Janice, our waitress, took very good care of us offering suggestions when we asked and was more than pleasant!! She talked and laughed with us and made our visit so much better. Always checking on us and making sure we didn't need anything. Wonderful young lady.
We both had the T-bone steak and wow!! We've had good steaks before but we always compare it to Saltgrass. They set the bar for a good steak but looking around at the other meals I'm sure anything you get would be great.
Janice also saw my military ID and gave us a discount, which wasn't necessary but very much appreciated.
The only problem....we don't have this restaurant in Ohio!! LOL. When we're back down south, we will definitely make a stop in.

On 2/10/23 here in Galveston, Tx we ate here and the food was very scrumptious!!!! Our server Alicia( not Keys), was very knowledgeable and gorgeous at the same! Thank You for waiting on Us!!! Mr. Robert the manager stopped by our table and introduced himself. What do you know we’re all from the Mid-West area! I pray that his heel heals pretty quickly!!!! Y’all check this place out it’s really good hats off too the ENTIRE TEAM!!!!!

I start with the onion straws, or potato soup! I LOVE the salads, baked potatoes!! My favorite is the asparagus! I could go every day for the grilled asparagus, omg!

Offer a variety of steak options as well as other items on their menu. They offer a special lunch menu at great prices. Loved the steak tips over mashed potatoes with mushrooms and gravy. Their green beans were also tasty! 😋 Nice location, across the street you will enjoy great ocean views!

Great upscale/casual steak house right off the beach. I’d recommend coming for a dinner date or after church since the place is a lot nicer than most beach restaurants. The staff were very helpful and fast. The steak was juicy and well seasoned.

There was no host to seat us. So we just sat ourselves. Jason was our server he was very nice; just at times he took a little too long to come back to the table. Now for the food. We started off with the seafood fondue, it was amazing!! They got the potato soup, while I got the tortilla soup; both came out nice and hot, very good flavor. My girlfriend and her friend both got the Ribeye; one with Asparagus, the other with a baked potato. The flavor was pretty good, but there was entirely too much fat. Her coworker got the beef tips and he loved it. For me I decided on the two medallions with sweet potato fries. The medallions; the mushrooms; and that Aoli were to die for!

Dined there last night n they did not disappoint us. My husband n I both got the top sirloin and I could go on and on but to sum it up it was wonderful. Steak was cooked exactly like we like it n the sides were great. Our favorite place to visit when we're come to the island. The staff was also wonderful

Waited 3 hours for my dinner to be half done on part of my steak while the other side was so burnt I couldn’t eat it. Waiter was head waiter but slow as molasses. I will never go to that particular salt grass again while in Galveston. Manager doesn’t know how to run this restaurant efficiently. 👎🏼 Worst experience on the island!

Order came out missing my sautéed mushrooms, Mac and cheese , steak fries burnt to a crisp. Then manager came over brought Mac and cheese over offered to get me fresh steak fries when almost finished eating and said no thank you then says I will make sure we don’t Charge for the Mac and cheese. Really that was part of the order 2 sides on Sam’s plate she ordered.
