Food: I got the Pesto Alfredo which was very good, and also got the Au Gratin potatoes side which was alright. The price for the Pesto bowl was a bit much at $22 personally but it was filling and tasted quite good. Service: Our waiter was nice, they didn't forget anything and decently paced. Atmosphere: It is very pleasant on the eyes in there, lots of nice lighting and many interesting things around.

Went to this restaurant for my birthday a few days ago. I had crab cakes and ceviche and my boyfriend had the salmon. We got the chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything we got was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was so nice, you walk in and they already have tablecloths and glasses on the tables, it felt very upscale. They even bring you a small bowl of warm lemon water to clean your hands after you eat. Definitely will be coming back here!

This place is no doubt American Classic. Amazing!! Amazing!! Delicious sea food. Period. I ordered premium market Oysters for starter, signature crab stuffed shrimps, and Garden salad. All items cooked / prepared to perfection. Musy try: premium marker oysters and signature crab stuffed shrimps.

I can’t say enough about how great our experience was! This was our first time to dine with Gaido’s and what a treat!! Our server, William, was amazing! Additionally, the manager, Julie, was very courteous! We highly recommend this five-star restaurant and will definitely be back!!

We had the best time sitting and enjoying a beautiful meal of red snapper and scallops. We cannot recommend the red snapper more! Our service by Marcelo from drinks to desert was incredible. He made our evening so memorable. Do not skip this experience in Galveston.

Ist time here. We have always wanted to try this place and today was the day. Our server was Kevin. Very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. I had the seafood pasta platter. It was super delicious and creamy fresh. The charbrioled shrimp had a taste that kept me wanting more. The ambiance in here is very nice. Highly recommend.
The Pies the Limit
Came in later in the evening for a coffee and dessert, and boy were we blown away. I wish we could have tried all the desserts but the two we did try were great. The cheesecake was light and fluffy and the raspberry sauce was bursting with flavor. The coffee was great as well. Two desserts and a cup of coffee was $28. Very happy and would love to come back again for lunch or dinner

We were down for the Lone Star Rally. Working early to late hours daily. We were able to make it over on our last day and have dinner. We were way under dressed. Ha ha ha! As soon as we walked in, every single employee was so polite. What an awesome atmosphere and an eligant building itself, with all the white cloth table tops and candles. The host was able to sit part of our party ahead of us, as we made it in. Once we were all sat, the presentation our waiter had for the Chef Specials of the night was awesome! He explained all the plates and how the dishes are cooked. I was in awh, and so impressed. Our appetizer, the Blue Crab Claws were delicious. For our main dish we ordered the Chef Specials, Crab Stuff Shrimp, the Snapper plate, the Stuffed Flounder plate. All our food was cooked to perfection! So delicious! To top it off, it was my Mother-in-Laws and my Birthday. Our waiter brought us a sweet dessert with a decorated plate. So cool! We ordered a pecan pie with ice cream and a raspberry cheese cake. Perfect for that sweet tooth! Thank you for the great service and delicious food. I will definitely bring my Family / Work Crew back again next year, unless we make it in prior. Thanks again!

Our food was above average in salt, which made this hard to finish. Half a gumbo not eaten and the bacon wrapped shrimp dish was as well. The salmon was cooked too long and was more along the lines of over cooked. For a seafood place, over cooking fish is a big fail. Too much salt, is someone just not following the recipe. Our waitress was very good though.

Some of the best seafood I've ever had! Highly recommend the red snapper!! Pecan pie for dessert apparently won some awards so we had to get one to go. It was amazing. Our waiter was awesome too. Good place to splurge on some fresh sea food at a place with lots of history.

This place has always been top notch. As a matter of fact it was the leader in their class. Although the atmosphere remains classy and the service is great as well, the food and portions do not match the price. The drinks were overpriced and the food was good but I won’t say it was the best I’ve had.

The food was wonderful and the waitstaff was tremendous. We sat immediately at the bar. We were unaware that you needed a reservation. We typically sit at the bar because we can get better service there at most restaurants. We were not disappointed. The food was a bit pricey and the wine even more. That would be my only concern. We had the spinach and crab dip, gumbo, and wedge salad. We were surprised when they brought us hoemeade bread with a tasty olive oil recipe for dipping.

The service was five star great. The crab and avocado appetizer was bland and did not have enough crab meat. The bisque tasted like carrot baby food. There wasn’t much seafood in it. What is the deal with the carrots? I was really disappointed in the food.

We've been coming to Gaido's every year for more than 10 years and it just gets better. From the Watkins Bisque, customer experience, excellent food, ambience and old world feel. This is such a special place to us and we'll continue to come back. Oh and best cocktails on the island.

Absolutely the best Salmon, Golden Tile Grouper, and Swordfish - either grilled/blackened topped with the Castilla crab. Oh you must also have the Watkins Lobster Bisque or Tortilla Soup to start, and finish with the world famous Pecan pie.

I’m on a special diet and they were very accommodating in preparing the food the way I requested. And even the Chef came to the table to confirm the way the food would be cooked. Impressive. A nice restaurant. A little pricey but worth it if you’re in the mood to splurge. The waiter was not very attentive and he took orders from the men first rather than asking the ladies. I thought that was standard protocol? Somehow a fly ended up getting in my tea but he was dead. They did not charge extra for the protein. Ha!

The food was no where near as good as it used to be. It tasted like any other fast food. The portions where small & our waiter forget to put in our appetizer. Will not be back anytime soon
