Now this place is a authentic Italian restaurant. From the music to the decor. And the food...... OMG best ever. So worth eating dinner there. The price's to portion's are perfect. And the dessarts are to die for. This is the place you MUST eat at.
This place is like a quiet little slice of Italian culture nestled in the side of a hill in the cozy town of Galena. The atmosphere is reminiscent of some of the Italian restaurants in places like Chicago. The menu is friendly for those who aren't too adventurous, but also makes food that can satisfy the cravings of those who are used to Italian native restaurants. I personally would love to see some seafood pasta options, but i can understand that you have to work with the land around you in a sense. The servers are very friendly and inviting. I wish I remembered the name of my server because she was one of the best servers i have had in a very long time because she had just the right balance of attentiveness, friendliness, and gave us guests time to discuss amongst ourselves. This place is worth a visit because you will like the atmosphere, service, or the food (hopefully all three).
If ever in Galena Vinny Vanucchi's is a must! The food was some of the best Italian food we have ever had the staff and the atmosphere are amazing!! the prices are beyond fair.

Very nice cozy Italian place to eat...their garlic bread and fried ravioli is finger licking good...they are open for dining and have a great selection with decent portion size...try it when in galena...
Great Italian restaurant! Very cozy atmosphere and the food was excellent. Good size portions that I was even able to box up some for leftovers. The prices were a little higher but the quality and quantity were worth it.
Great food, very friendly and attentive staff, good wine selection and the atmosphere was super cozy and authentic feeling. Also the music just took you back in time, 10/10 would recommend this establishment.
We like to go to Galena to meet my brother and his girlfriend half way between Chicago and Waterloo. We tend to go to Vinny Vanucchi's because they can make vegan meal, with a customized salad and spaghetti olio. Please specify if you have any allergies or specialty diets while going there. They can accommodate them.
