Mancini's Tuscan Grill

The restaurant is really nice looking, it's hard to believe this place use to be CJ's. The staff was very friendly. The food was not awesome. We started with the crab cake appetizer. Two nice sized crab cakes on a plate with very nice presentation. But they had a slightly odd taste to them. Neither of us cared for them and we didn't finish the second cake. I had the seafood manicotti. It wasn't cheap at $25. When it was delivered to the table I was stunned. It was a single giant manicotti the size of a Moe's burrito. It looked delicious. And it tasted good. But it was 90% ricotta cheese inside. I think I ate 3 or 4 small bites of seafood. The rest was all cheese. There must have been an entire cup of cheese on the plate when I finished. My wife had the grouper picatta. I did not try it. She said the fish was good and properly cooked but the sauce was too lemony with some bites tasting like straight lemon. To sum up, we loved everything but the food. We will try it again in a few months to see if maybe we just went on a bad night.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it will surely be memorable. I will remember not to go back nor suggest it to friends and co workers. The hyped up restaurant was too expensive for the quality of service and food they were putting out. I mean come on: I am not Italian but I can tell the difference between pasta fagoli and minestrone(I ordered minestrone, they served me pasta fagoli). And their star menu item, manicotti, was mediocre at best. The description made sound like it would be loaded with flavors and veggies(cause I order the veggie) and all I got was a slice and a half of Portobello mushroom. And to top it all off they say on the menu to add a soup is $4 to your entree but when my bill came it was listed as $6, why? Between my wife and I the bill totaled $59.88 but that was due to me being over charged by $2 on my soup and my wife's entree was over charged by $1. Now I am not some cheap person but if I pay quality, then I expect quality and Mancini's did not measure up. I have two words for this establishment: never again.

Beautiful atmosphere but Worst service I think I have ever experienced! AND NEVER GOT OUR FULL ORDER! Waited an hour and a half to get the entree but never the sides. The waitress was really trying, or at least seemed to be when she showed up to the table (which wasn’t often) but the kitchen apparently wasn’t cooperating nor was the manager when we requested to speak with him. We explained we had been waiting an hour and a half for our food and they brought he wrong sides and we would like to just get our food. He threw his hands up in the air and said “ well we are busy and just ran out of things”. He never even asked what we were waiting on. Meanwhile others around us were getting their sides ( mashed potatoes for goodness sakes) but ours never came! So going on over two hours and still no sides we had already eaten our entrees which I had the Chilean sea bass which was over cooked and the smallest price of fish I have ever eaten (half the size of the palm of my hand for $37) with burnt something on top of the chutney and it was cold when it was served. The chateaubriand was good but over cooked. And still no sides. We just wanted to leave and asked for the check and had to wait yet another 20 mins. We left very HANGRY and disappointed. We will never come back and will be sure to share the story with all my friends. So disappointed because we wanted to like this place.....
