The food was excellent! We had Calamari as a starter, which was perfectly fried and tasted fresh. Waiters were very attentive and boxed up our leftovers for us. One member of our party had the quiche, this person eats quiche at any restaurant that has it and she said it's the best in Gainesville. Very light and fluffy and cheesy. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and most things come with the option of a salad or french fries at no extra cost.

Flatbread was amazing, waitress was great! Four stars was due to a piece of coconut cream cake I ordered to go for $6.66 which was so small and barely had 2 layers. Also, there was a service fee on the receipt which there was no mention of prior to receiving the bill. Would return but definitely would NOT order dessert.

I always have the best experience at this establishment! However, the dark haired chef is always yelling at the servers in front of customers which made me very uncomfortable. Other than that, Olivia was wonderful and the food was amazing!

Food was very good! Service fee added with no prior notice or authorization. I do not patronize establishments that add service fees! Tipping is the customers prerogative and I tip very well but this practice doesn't work for me

New Deal cafe has one of the best if not the people best burger in all of Gainesville! Their burgers are cooked perfectly and are biggest 8oz burgers you will find. Then to make it even better they are constantly coming up with amazing topping combinations like this freshlyade guacamole and jalapeno burger! Their fries are always cooked perfectly. Definitely not the cheapest burger in town but when it tastes this good you won't mind spending a couple extra dollars!

This is one of the best burgers I’ve had at any price-point. This $12 burger was flawless perfection. The service is stellar, and the fries were spectacular as well. I would highly recommend this hidden spot to anyone in Gainesville looking for a great meal.
