Quick and delicious! Meal comes with a great variety consisting of 2 different salads, chickpeas, hummus and pita, sauce, side of your choice and the entree! Only complaint was the salmon was a tad dry for my liking, however, the flavor was amazing so it made up. Everything paired perfectly together.

So glad we found this place! Traveling from out of town it can be hard to find Vegan options all the time. The food both vegan and non vegan was absolutely delicious. Very nice staff, great flavors in the food, and the mint lemonade was spot on! Maybe they will ship me some vegan shawarma 🤔 it was that good!!

As you can see I loved the food in this humble hidden gem in Gainesville.
The Israeli and Palestinian menu looked awesome and the falafel I had was soooo good.
But if you go, you need to eat their vegan sandwich. WOW SO GOOD!!!
I’m Arabic and I can tell you that all the flavors were there.

My brother and I are obsessed with this restaurant. First of all, it’s so homey and inviting on the inside. I think it’s a beautiful location in the middle of Gainesville. Their food is top quality! Always, might I add! I always get the vegan shawarma because I am seriously in love with the combination of flavors. My brother is vegan, so he loves the detail and care they always put into the food. Please get their fries! You are going to love them as much as I do 💕

I always get the falafel platter, it’s amazing. They also have a no tipping policy, which I fully support. I’d much rather pay higher prices deemed appropriate by the restaurant than being unsure whether or not the staff are being paid a living wage

We had a great first experience at Sababa!
About 30 of us got together for dinner at the small family-owned restaurant. Not having been there before, we didn't realize how small the location would be, but Yael and Riley were adaptable and friendly, and we quickly moved tables inside from the patio so that we'd have enough seats. They will soon have more seating available. The owners were communicative and thoughtful in figuring out how to best serve our large party.
The food itself was incredible. All the food is kosher, and they use no dairy. It was wonderful to see options readily available for meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten sensitivities; usually someone gets stuck with an option that's just OK, but all of us had great menu options regardless of our dietary needs. In particular, I highly recommend the vegan shawarma.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Sababa and are looking forward to going back or ordering from them!

oh. my. god. The chicken shawarma is to die for. I love all of the salads and sides it comes with too. And this is the best falafel I've had in Gainesville to date. Sababa is our new favorite place! I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant!!

Amazing food and service. I eat here at least once a week. So glad they opened downtown. You can tell they care deeply about the customer experience. I'm a shawarma guy myself, but the schnitzel's fantastic too. Can't recommended enough.

The best customer service, hands down!!! I drove all the way from Kissimmee with my mom ( she never been in a kosher restaurant before) to try out the falafels. The best falafels I ever had!!! And the chicken Shawarma!! Was great too!! And you have to try the lemonade!! The food is fresh and the place is super clean. Mom and I will be coming back soon. Thanks guys!!

Good food and very friendly. Definitely stop by if you're in town or want a delicious quick bite to eat that'll fill you up for a reasonable price. All freshly made. May be some hidden gems so be sure to ask; they'll have no problem spending time with going through their entire menu and other treats.

The food is so good, so fresh, I drove an hour to get there. And I absolutely plan on driving an hour to go again. It's in a beautiful area... Right beside the Hippodrome Theatre. I cannot wait to build weekends around this restaurant and this theater!

Best falafel and hummus in Gainesville and that I've had in years. The co-owner is really nice and funny too. She sat down with us and chatted explaining her love of cooking and how she makes the food. Picture your favorite Jewish/Cuban/Italian/Southern grandma and that's her..."Eat!...Eat!"

I stopped by at 7:30pm today (a Tuesda) and the store was closed. I was very disappointed to drive there after work to find the doors not open even though by the posted hours on the door they should be open. I wish I were able to review the actual food!!

Sababa was hired months ago to sell food at Congregation B'nai Israel's Israel Festival today. They no-showed; when the shul called them, they said they weren't coming because they ran out of food. No advanced notice and highly unprofessional. What a major disappointment to the organizers and all the families in attendance. We won't work with them again.
