Afghan Famous Kabobs - Gainesville - Photo album

I LOVE this restaurant. You can see them making their food right at the till, with a little grill, and yet, despite not being frozen or prepackaged, I cannot consistently rely on the food being fantastic each and every single time. If you come in dinner and order the chicken platter(my go to dish, a
Amazing flavorful food, I’ve been going to this place for about 5 years now and they’ve always been perfect every time, the employees are sweet and welcoming and it’s just overall a great atmosphere. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often but I am willing to drive a hour and a half to
Had a craving for chicken Kabos and found this place . You know is good when you open the door and all those flavors and spices hit you. I order the delux Kabob and humus as a side and they did not disappoint. I enjoy every single bite. This is a local run place and I liked that. They put their best
We stopped in to get a to go meal. Ended up getting the Kabob sampler. Absolutely fantastic. The meat was all moist and flavorful. Bread was crisp. Atmosphere is fairly plain and bare bones, but who cares when the food is this good.
Been going to this place for over a decade now, and it has consistently delivered excellent food at reasonable prices. I've tried countless times to replicate some of these dishes at home, especially the naan, but nothing beats the real thing. All of the kabobs are outstanding, but don't sleep on th
WOW! If you are in the mood for authentic Afghani food, this is THE PLACE to get it. It may be well worth taking a trip to this delightful restaurant just to experience the delights of the amazing food this family cooks. Every dish we tried was exceptionally delicious. The Naan (bread) was the best
We have tried other kabob restaurants in several states and never found a place as good as Afghan Famous Kabob. The kabobs are almost always perfectly cooked and not tough or chewy or dry the way some places are. Both the white and brown rice are very tasty and the side salad is nice and fresh. T
Holy this food was really really good! I ordered pumpkin spinach dish and I was blown away by how tasty it was. Who would of knew pumpkin could be so good. I ordered a 2nd one to go 🤣 I was stuffed so the portion size is worth it’s price point 👌🏽Hard to find good vegan food at places where they don’
Loved the people and the food. Very welcoming and funny! Their food is very reasonably priced and delicious. Will definitely be going again
Got the Deluxe Kabob and the plate was full. The Gyro was just as delicious and all the bread is made in house. Owners are really nice. The online order was down but their customer service over the phone was great. If you like spicy ask for extra spicy sauce - it's refreshing and a good kick at the
Ordered to-go Chicken and lamb kabobs for lunch. The portion was good and delicious. Everything from chicken, lamb to rice and salad were delicious. Naan bread was out of this world. Yes, that green sauce, I need that green sauce at home.😄 Most definitely will eat here again.
Always great food. Usually get takeout as they don't have a liquor license and dining in is not fancy. Again the food is great and the staff are helpful. Love their superdish.
Absolutely delicious. The food is made fresh right in front of you. Definitely try!! They are so friendly. We would certainly return.
28MAY2021 Friday lunch: unlike several recent reviews we experienced courteous service, smiles, thank yous, etc not just with us but with all the customers who went through during lunch. Besides that, the food was fantastic. We had Boolawnee app. (Baked foldover with seasoned potato mash). Vegetaria
Been coming here for years. A nice quiet place to grab lunch or dinner. Always outstanding food, some of the best basmati rice I’ve ever eaten, delicious homemade bread, and family-owned. Love it!
Wife told me that this place had a high rating so on our way out west, stopped by here. Was surprised that the lamb kabob was around $13 (normally it's 14-15 in other places) but boy - I think this was the BEST lamb I've had in a very long time. Typical kabob places, the lamb is slightly to seriou
One of the best places in town for something a little different. They serve large meals consisting of well made and very delicious food. Most of their entrees come with a side salad, side of chickpeas, and a large section of house made naan. The quality of the food is superb though given the humble
Great food. The owner is very nice and cooks the beat rice and kababs. Bread is great with kababs and white sauce.
