J Wings

Decided to go here after reading the reviews while visiting Alabama. Didn't want to go too far from hotel. Should've known there was an issue when we pulled up and this place was a part of a service station. But figured, like home, sometimes the best food comes from places like this. Clearly not the case. First issue was their menu prices that were covered with black duct tape. I asked the young man did that mean they didn't have those items and he said no, it meant they updated their prices so I had to ask how much everything was. I will say the customer service was really great and their cajun ranch fries were really good. The boneless chicken however, was the worst. It was so salty, it really was not edible. And it was hard and tasted old. The fried green tomatoes were good, but they too were so overly seasoned they really weren't edible either. To boot these two dinner combos, a fried green tomato and two drinks cost us over $30.00. Now I'm still hungry and have to go out to spend more money. Shaking my head.

Decent food. Waited 85 minutes in line at drive through tonight only to be given wrong order. If you do go here. DO NOT use the drive through. In the time it takes them to service one drive through order they take 3-4 orders at the counter and several more on the phone. As each order is cooked in the order it's taken the drive through gets serviced at about 10-20% of the inside/phone orders making the drive through wait about 5 times longer than going inside. Almost forgot to mention, they were out of wings tonight. But of course you don't find that out til you've waited in line for 20 minutes.....

Called in a pickup order for boneless wings and cajun ranch fries. Ordering was no hassle and pickup was on time, but the menu price was almost doubled when I went to pick it up saying they had to raise prices. It was advertised for $7.99 and I ended up paying $15 whatever, support local businesses guys. Unfortunately my food was almost inedible and I didn’t finish it. Almost all my wings were overcooked and dry with no freshness or crisp to them and my fries were soaked in ranch and absolutely limp. I will not be coming back here anytime soon. They are getting 2 stars due to good service but that’s it.
