The Hungry Bear is quite possibly the best restaurant in all of Fullerton. The specialty steak is unfathomably good. Put a bit of steak sauce on it and it's perfect. Best steak I've had in ages! The vegetable beef soup was excellent as well. The service is great. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. All in all, one of the best places in the Fullerton area to dine, and I recommend everyone go try out their delicious steaks.
A nice, casual restaurant located kitty corner from St Jude Medical Center. My friend and I stopped in on St Patrick's Day and we each had the Reuben sandwich and a soft drink. We both enjoyed the taste of our food. The server was friendly and attentive. Hope to return another time soon.
Tried their "impossible" burger and like everything else on their menu it was wonderful. Monique, our server, took excellent care of us. It was on her recommendation that my wife and I chose the burger. I should note that this was a very large hamburger, if you aren't hungry or aren't interested in having half now and half another day then order something else. For the record, I was hungry.

Solid joint. Classic neighborhood steak joint. Avacado egg rolls to start. They came with a weird bbq sauce but it was kind of good. Clam chowder was creamy and had enough clams, this dish could have used more salt but would totes eat again. Ribeye was cooked to my resquested med rare and was well seasoned. I traded out my baked potato for beans. Bad choice. The beans were mediocre at best . Apple pie was pretty good.
Overall great neighborhood steak place. It's not fancy but will get you a good meal with friendly service. I will totally go again. Thanks for a great meal with the family HBD.
My mother in law and my husband love coming here. I finally got to try the plank steak today my mother in law loves. Since the portion is big, the server asked me if I was gonna share with someone, and I has to assure her that I can handle it. The steak was tender and juicy and every bite was enjoyable. Their sauteed mushroom is also really yummy. I am happy that I found a place to get good steak nearby.
This place is pretty old fashion, in a good way! The place is small, but it feels so friendly and safe, like home! The food is good too; I got the Steak Sandwhich and it comes with fries and beans in a sweet sauce!

Hungry Bear has the world's best skirt steak. I'm not sure why their beef is superior but it is consistently the best. It is a smaller restaurant but always has good service. Breakfast is my favorite meal from Hungry Bear.
