Believe it or not... I showed up 4 hrs before my train departures, 🚆 🙃 I was asked if I wanted to live my baggage 🧳 with them ,so that I could go to explore. I went to the port, ans toured the MIDWAY!, to eat breakfast.. THEY EVEN CHARGE MY PHONE!!!. Overall, a great experience.
We stopped in after visiting the train museum next door. It. Was. So. Good. Easily one of the best things I ate while in the LA area. BF had the breakfast burger, I had the chili burger. Great patio area where you can eat in the sunshine.
Very good. Nice place to get a quick bite before getting in the train. They have an outdoor area too. Fun to watch the trains and people watch.
Update: ice blended latte was really good! Ice coffee on the other hand was gross
do NOT order their ice coffee it is literally HOT coffee with melted ice cubes. I drank a third of just gross warm coffee then added a lot of ice cubes & some milk & it was just super watered down coffee that still wasn’t cold enough…. That being said the place is super cute & the food looks good & since it’s next to the train station it’s not like you have many options anyways so I’d say eat the food but stay away from the ice coffee. Came back a second time ordered their ice blended latte & it was really good!
Awesome place to eat and hangout before your train arrives. Staff is awesome and the food is tasty. Love coming here.
Had to wait for a train that was late so instead of eating on board train did the cafe very reasonable price on food from sandwiches to hamburgers they even sell beer by the cup full very nice staff
The lovely brunette behind the counter was full of helpful suggestions, and just too sweet! It's right by my work and I will deff be coming here after! Delicious!
This place has a good reputation among railfans in LA, so on our recent Amtrak trip to see our daughter, we had breakfast there. Excellent! Good choices, great seating right on the line and good prices. We’ll do it again!
Anna was my Service. She and the Cook were amazing. The owners of Santa Fe Express must be wonderful. Danny, a frequent customer says many of the workers have been working for them over 15 years!!! Speaks volumes about the owners. So happy I stopped in. I accidentally left my credit card in the machine, Ana returned it to me. Feeling blessed on birthday trip
Cute shop with a nice breeze to hangout at while waiting for the train.
The food that is made in house is well priced ($4 - $8) while the pre-packaged snacks and miscellaneous goods have a high markup as one would expect. They sell a wide variety of items you might need when traveling like cold medicine or chargers.
Their USB charging ports comfortable atmosphere, and ample seeting made my wait between trains much more enjoyable than waiting on a bench.
