Rib City Grill

Stopped on my way through town. Had the baby back ribs and bbq chicken combo. Food was tasty. However, I didn’t know they raised pygmy pigs in Colorado. It was the smallest 1/2 rack I have ever had. Only other disappointment, no salt and pepper for my takeout order. If not for these two missteps, I would have rated my experience a five.

The wait staff was great, and the place was clean... but how does this place have 4.5 stars? If I'd eaten a handful of kitty litter it still wouldn't have been as dry as the barbecue here. If you truly must partake in the experience, pour a can of green beans next to an old McRib combo and save yourself twenty bucks. Edit for the owner: I said your staff was kind and your place was clean, but to be wilfully serving food of that quality you have to be intentionally cutting corners or be wholly ignorant of the food coming out of your kitchen. $50 is a lot to spend on a dinner for two that you can't eat. You have a good staff, now make the food worth the $20 you're charging for it.

I found this to just be okay. The sliced beef I’m guessing is from a pressed roll, nothing like a typical brisket. The chicken was pretty good and their version of a sloppy joe was probably the best thing we tried. The coleslaw was very good, the green beans were meh. I would try the place again however and try the ribs. The sauces were good, I especially liked mixing the sweet and the hot.
