Ignore your first impression— this restaurant has no street appeal. Go for the Thai food! Fresh, authentically prepared Thai dishes. The combination of flavors and spices is amazing. We shared the chicken pad Thai and the pho (beef and veggie spicy soup - Vietnamese). The preparation was perfect, served with fresh basil, bean sprouts and lime.
Thunwa Thai does a brisk take-out business, but we still had excellent service.
Walk through the parking lot with blinders, go in to this restaurant attached to a hotel, seat yourself, and your taste buds will thank you.
Great food in an area with few options for a gluten free vegan health conscious person. It was pretty busy at dinner time with only one waiter for the whole place and the bar. He was super kind to accommodate our requests and dietary preferences. I got the green curry with brown rice, which I enjoyed.
Fantastic service, delicious food, I just can’t say enough nice things about the gentleman that helped us. It was pretty busy in the restaurant, he seemed to be the only person up front, including the bar and tending to takeout customers, it was pretty busy in there and he was super level and kind!
Thank you for the great dinner experience!
Wow!! An excellent authentic Thai taste. Place is attached to baymont hotel, even restrooms are shared with hotel. Ambience was nice , not congested , staffs are attentive , but not happy looking server( May be he got a very busy day) . We came here at 8.30 on Saturday night. Ordered Tom Yum soup, chicken satay, Thai chicken fried rice , spicy basic chicken fried rice , chicken garlic sauce. Everything tasted great especially satay was outstanding (aroma and spice levels were so perfect). Our least preference chicken garlic sauce. Price is ok , glass and cutlery was clean. Dining area is not so private. 40 percent of the table was occupied when we went in. Many many Togo orders came in. It took a while for our food to come but well worth the wait.
We dined for lunch here. We had fried tilapia with red curry and pineapple fried rice. They both were amazing.
This restaurant is definitely a Thai 5 in more ways than one! The dishes ordered were fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. We ordered fried tofu, and two lunch specials; one duck and one chicken entree. The lunch special included a soup of the day and a spring roll along with the entree. The vegetables in both the soup and the meal were vibrant in color and not over or undercooked. The dishes did come with a little more heat from spice than I expected, but it wasn’t overly spiced and indeed a nice surprise without asking for it to be cooked that way. For those with weaker spice level tolerance, I am sure you could tell the staff that you would like fewer peppers in the dishes. 😃
After a long day came to the restaurant to relax and have a nice meal. The food turned out to be some of the best Thai I’ve ever had. The service was great however the food was even better. The cooks are Thai which gives it an authentic flavor not to mention the portion sizes are good. Definitely check it out if you have the chance.
