Romano's Macaroni Grill

Had been wanting to try this place but timing was never right. Finally had a wonderful dinner and bottle of wine. Great selection of Italian food dishes. Also serve a block of bread which you could dip in seasoning and olive oil. Service was great. Soup Lobster Bisque Dark Red Wine Italian trio Lasagna Delicious!!!

First time here and will be last time here. Came in at lunch time, place was empty except for 2 other tables. My kids, wife, and I were seated quickly. We gave our drink order and got them in a timely fashion. After inspecting my water, I noticed there was a bug in my cup!! Yuck. Told the waiter and got a replacement. Was never told ‘sorry bout that’. We placed our food order and we waited. Then we waited. Then we waited some more. A table of 4 who ordered after us, received their food, ate it, then were leaving just as our food was coming out. The kitchen either lost our order or they are very unorganized in the kitchen. The waiter kept coming to us and said sorry they are working on your kids meal (grilled chicken). OK! I ordered a full meal of the chicken parm and I think they gave me the lunch portion because my kids meal had more pasta on it then my plate. My chicken parm tasted good but I was hoping for a larger portion. Overall I was hoping to be impressed and left very disappointed. Won’t be back.

We had planned to eat at another local Frisco family favorite for our daughter’s Bday but the wait was too long. We searched for other restaurants nearby and tried out the Romano’s Macaroni Grill! I had not been to one in over 14 years! We had great service and delicious food. This may be out new family night place! The kids loved that they could draw and be creative on the “table cloth”. Thank you for delicious food and great service.

Note: We have been here twice before for a lunch like this, but never had this much of a problem; the cliffs-notes version is *Cold food, long wait, poor quantities on to go order* Full story: 7 of us came in for a group business lunch at 11:30 am and we were seated right away. However, they forgot the silverware for the table. and that is okay, it happens. Waitress came, got our drink order, and brought them promptly. She then walked away, and she didn't come back for what seemed like about 10 min. So we grabbed silverware off the next table, she seemed new, so we tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. The place had maybe 5 tables, no large parties at this time. So we didn't understand why it took 45 min almost an hour to get our food. Once we had our food, everyone's dish (except one) was cold, including the soup they brought out last, but we ate our food because we were already running late to get back. We forgot to order a to go dish, and contemplated having to wait even longer, but ordered anyways and asked if we could get it rushed. we ordered spinach dip appetizer and a side of grilled asparagus, and we waited another 15-20 min. when we got back the spinach dip was so little, we have just decided not to come back to this location. (please see picture.) P.S. the only hot dish on the table had chicken that was tough and dry. my guess is overcooked.

We went at lunchtime. It's hard to have a true review of service because our server also had an 11 top around the same time. Service was really slow and I had my special needs client with me. My food arrived and my soup was barely warm and salad was missing dressing and cheese. It was disappointing because we waited a bit and I was really hungry. I asked the server to remake it. Second time it was delicious. (Tomato Basil soup and Italian Chopped salad). We ordered dessert but after waiting a while my client decided she needed to leave. The large party was settling their checks so I asked the manager if he could assist us. He did it with a smile and he was absolutely great. He also checked to make sure my remake was correct. I can't say enough good things about the manager. He really saved our experience. Our server was very nice and friendly. He may have been a bit too busy. My client had a nice time and she requested we return tomorrow and start with dessert. Haha.
