I came to Friday Harbor for a couple days this past summer and I will say, Riptide Cafe has to be one of the best spots in the town. I got breakfast here every morning and it was 10/10 every time. Lines tend to be a little long in the mornings but for me it was not a huge issue as my food came out relatively quickly. They have incredible smoothies and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Not a ton of seating inside but plenty outside with a gorgeous view of the docks right there! Overall I think this place is a wonderful spot, if you come to Friday Harbor make sure to give this place a visit.

I can’t say enough about the atmosphere and location of this cafe in Friday Harbor. It’s perfect and quaint, and the staff is lovely! I was bummed they were out of the vegan breakfast patty, but the coffee and smoothie bowl was super good.

The food is customizable and good (with great vegan options!), the service was friendly and fast, and the location is beautiful and enjoyable. I'm so glad I ended up here!

Excellent spiced hot chocolate (mocha latte, -2 shots, skim). Really good carmel macchiato. Welcoming and pleasant service. Like the way fern is drawn on foam.

My wife got a latte and really enjoyed it. I had a mocha but didn't love the chocolate used. I think this is a personal preference and not a shortcoming of the Cafe. The staff were fun to talk with and very nice. The view is great.

My mind was blown by the concept of putting Madrona Smoked salt in the coffee. I am converted, I've seen the light: San Juan Island Madrona Smoked salt in all my coffee now!

Best smoothies on the island! Great location and friendly staffs! They have indoor and outdoor sittings right by the pier, and have some cute gift collections!

Delicious dirty chai! Maggie was a delight to visit with! As a local I always appreciate good service and great coffee ♥️
