The only reason I went to this place was because it was one of the only places in Friday Harbor that was open at 6:00 PM on a Wednesday evening. Luckily, it wasn't all that bad!
I ordered a double plate of Pad Thai (rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg and peanuts with tamarind sauce). It was alright! I can make a pretty mean Pad Thai and I've eaten some out-of-this-world stuff before so this version didn't quite deliver the punch I was hoping for. A little too sweet for my liking but nonetheless it was still good and I ate every single bite. The serving was generous, and the ingredients were fresh. Paired with a couple of beers and my dinner was delightful!
Decent prices for a tourist town. Nice portion sizes and delicious food! The ambiance is nice and there is a small patio if you want to enjoy the weather. Also fast and friendly service. Recommend!!!
My only tiny negative comment is that I wish they were open all day in the summer considering how busy town can be.
Certainly the better of the two choices for Asian food on the island.
The Pad Thai is definitely not what I'm used to, tastes too sweet, and has a tinge of red, as opposed to the typical complex brown type sauce that I'm accustomed to. Certainly not the worst I've had!
Service was great, though the poor woman working as the server seemed stretched thin, she was excellent though, very kind and as attentive as she could be.
Hands down one of the best Tom Yum I've ever had.
Inside the bowl you'd find thick chunks of ginger and lemongrass and your choice of protein. Their larb gai comes with roasted ground rice, which some other places may skip, but it makes the flavor and texture so much more satisfying so I'm glad they have it here.
We also got the pad Thai. Have I had better flavors in my pad Thai? Yes. But I do appreciate them using fresh vegetables--I love the crunchiness of the broccoli and carrots. We talked to one of the servers working here and she told us about the small community of Thai people on the island and how much this place has become home to her. A good dinner accompanied by good stories, we'll definitely come back!
Great flavors generous portions. We got Curry Chicken and Chicken Satay with peanut sauce. The chicken was a little dry, but sauces made it good. I would definitely come back. Loved the Pineapple rice!
Great place the food is amazing and flavorful. Especially the rice is amazing. I had the coconut curry while I was here and it was amazing. I'm not sure if I ate it correctly but it was one of the tastiest things I've ever had.
The food was very delicious! And the best part was there were lots of vegetarian options and most of the dishes were customisable to make them vegan/vegetarian. The service was excellent and the staff was very polite! Really recommend this place to try out when you are in the area!
Excellent food & Amazing staff! The food here is really delicious and they can make any dish to vegetarian/vegan option. I got the yellow tofu broccolli curry from the lunch buffay and it was one of the best Thai food I had in years. Also do try the sprimg rolls!!
Really good, fast, and hot! All items are served from a hot buffet, so you walk away with your food as soon as you order it. I appreciate that they have vegetarian options and really enjoyed the massaman curry with veggies and tofu. "Fried" rice is more of a saffron-looking dish, but also full of veggies, so I'm not complaining. Well worth it for a quick hot lunch right off the ferry.
Just, wow. This was so good I was telling people about it while I was eating. I had the coconut ginger curry with tofu. I got 4/10 spice and that was even just a little too hot for me so be careful what you wish for! They’re very generous with the portions - one order could feed two people if you shared. Highly recommend!
