I just can't say enough about this place. Great breakfast buffet in a great atmosphere served by pleasant and competent people. I will detour whenever possible to spend the night here just knowing what awaits me in the morning.

Great place to eat. Very helpful accommodating my low carb diet. Will go there again.

The crab soup was surprisingly good. My wife enjoyed the clam chowder as well. And my daughter loved her tomato bisque. All the soups were good. The bread was sourdough but not the kind that has to prove itself to you by tasting like a straight lemon died inside. Just a slight sourdough flavor, very pleasant. The location is good and large enough to seat a lot of people. The wait staff was attentive and nice. We'd go back here for sure if we were visiting San Francisco again.

Yum the restaurant was great! We all had soup in a bread bowl and they were all delicious! We ordered the crab, spinach and artichoke dip and all of it was super! We also had the crab cake with corn and gelato. They were packed but still managed to get us in and out and we didn’t have to wait long for anything. If you go I recommend you do an early lunch or dinner to avoid the meal time crowd. Don’t forget to stop in the bakery for you loaf of sour dough bread!

Pretty decent experience at Boudin. Of course, the bread is wonderful. Highly recommend the crab and corn chowder. The Caesar salad was ok; chicken could have used a bit more flavor. The kids Mac and cheese was fairly bland. The burger was cooked to my partner’s liking but she wasn’t blown away.

This is a great place for having food or fresh pastry. We came to grab a cup of coffee with a sweet bite. The place was filled with people but not particularly crowded. We ordered a latte and two slices of cake: lemon and berry. The order was fulfilled fast, we took the stuff and sat outside at one of many tables. It was a pleasure to enjoy the coffee with a view towards coming and going ferries. The pastry was very tasty, especially the berry one. We totally paid around 15 usd for everything. I can totally recommend the place, pleasant experience, prices are very affordable.

Stopped for brunch. Enjoyed really fresh and tasty sourdough bread and had a delicious clam chowder bowl. This was the best we’ve had in town. Also had a breakfast sandwich and waffles. Daughter did not care for the waffles. But I guess that’s not what they are known for. 🤷🏽‍♀️ SF staple. So glad we stopped.

Boudin was one of the places on my list of places to try in San Francisco, particularly the clam chowder sourdough bread bowl. It definitely lived up to its hype and was a satisfying meal for my first proper lunch in the city. We also ordered tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches which were just as delicious. If I were to come back, I would try the tomato soup in a bread bowl. The restaurant was very busy since it was in a central area of Fisherman’s Wharf, but all the staff knew what they were doing and knew how to keep things moving at a good pace so we didn’t have to wait too long.

Loved the set up of the restaurant. There is a menu for upstairs and downstairs that are very different. Depends on what type of experience you want like a fast dine in downstairs or more of an elegant experience. Very nice customer service. The corn and crab soup bowl was delicious. Your food upstairs comes with some bread and butter. I also had the mac and cheese. It was ok, but not a show stopper.

We stopped in here after the fireworks to have dinner. It's one of the few places on the wharf that's open late and has consistently good food. We got the chowder bread bowl and the crab and corn bisque bread bowl. Personally I like the crab and corn better as nothing beats the clam chowder at Swan's (best in the World!). That being said the clam chowder at Boudin is good. The sourdough is of course perfect. I would have rated it 5 stars but the service initially was horrific! Couldn't get anyone to come by and take our order even just for drinks! We complained to one of the managers (or assistant manager?) And she totally saved the day, took care of us the whole time. Coco was her name. She's a veteran, excellent customer service. Made up for all the people standing around doing nothing.
