Alotta Brownies

Michelle and her staff at Alotta Brownies did it AGAIN! I've ordered custom cakes several times from Alotta Brownies and every time they have turned out amazing and had my guests raving about the taste! This last cake was a very important cake, as it was for our wedding. Alotta Brownies provided a beautiful tiered cake and a couple quarter sheet cakes to feed everyone at our reception. I knew I could count on this company to take one less stress off my plate and would definitely please the crowd! I highly recommend Alotta Brownies for events or every day bakery needs!

I have ordered many items from Alotta Brownies Bakery and have never been disappointed. Everything from bread, rolls, Carrot Cake (which is moist and to die for) to brownie trays and other types of cakes are always on point. Their products have always been fresh and delicious! I'd highly recommend them for your next event.

Awesome experience every time! I've been to Michelle's bakery many times and enjoyed many different confections of hers. Each one a taste buds culinary vacation to Heaven! Her made from scratch recipes handed down through the years from her grandmother are a true testament to what's important about paying attention to the past and what you can learn from it. Only the tried and true homemade recipes are true Culinary Treats. These bakery's that use mixes for everything are missing out on the true flavor, texture and quality that can be attained as well as the meaning of what it is to bake and create something . My boyfriend ordered a chocolate cake with white frosting for my birthday from Alotta Brownies Bakery in Fremont. The cake looked nice and I was happy to get the cake until I took my first bite. It was the worst tasting chocolate cake I have eaten. The flavor of the chocolate was flat and had an unusual taste. The frosting was equally disappointing. I love chocolate cake, but I could not even finish one piece of this cake. The box cakes and frostings I buy at the grocery store are 100% better and 90% less expensive.

My husband and I stopped at Alotta Brownies while on vacation. I had found the bakery on FaceBook and thought it sounded good since we are suckers for good brownies. The shop is neat and clean and the owner, Michelle, was there and helped us with our order. My husband especially liked the peanut butter cinnamon rolls that she had baked that morning per her grandmother's recipe. He ate one at the time and ordered four more to go! We also ordered a container of eight brownies and one lemon bar, a key lime bar and coconut macaroons. The lemon bar was great, the key lime bar not, and the coconut macaroons were excellent especially the chocolate dipped one. I highly recommend a visit if you live there or are passing nearby. The brownies and the rolls were the best part. The brownies are super fudgy and great alone or with ice cream as we like them!

I hired Alotta Brownies to make my wedding cake and I was unfortunately really disappointed. The picture I gave them for the example of my cake was not what I had received. My cake ended up being uneven and lopsided. it was not smooth in any place, the flower in the center was supposed to be a hydrangea and it ended up being some weird spikey leaf looking thing. It also looked like it was half way melted. One of my guests saw it and actually asked the baker if it had been melted, and her response was that it was supposed to look that way. It was awful. Definitely not something the owner should have been proud of or even let out of her store. It is quite sad that I wont hang up any of my cake cutting pictures because of how bad it looked.

I went in to order a birthday cake for someone who has dietary restrictions and was greeted by a employee that was very friendly. Since she wasn't a baker she couldn't really answer the specific questions we asked about what cakes they could make so she brought in the baker to help answer our questions. The baker was unpleasant and seem disinterested in placing our order. This is supposed to be a celebratory event and it was obvious that she didn't want to take our order. Will not be returning.
