Freshie Tea

I came here today to pick up an order from another vendor but decided to get milk tea as well. The menu pictures on Google Maps show a varied menu but in reality, their selection is very limited. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea with boba and crema on top. The drink was delicious. They have 2 tablets stationed by the front door to browse through and order but it appears the tablets are not cleaned regularly. Luckily, there is hand sanitizer by the tablets. The staff was friendly.

The milk tea and toppings are of quality and worth the price. My favorite drinks are the earl grey milk tea and the Urbain tea milk tea (their specialty) with white or black boba/pearls. I prefer the classic boba to all the other milk tea shops around Mission. Overall a great atmosphere and better drinks :)

Honestly my review gunna be shy of just 3 stars. I came here the first time and was disappointed in there mango ice tea. It was too sweet even after asking half sweet. I still gave this chance by coming back just to get a really bland no taste roasted oolong milk tea. Nonetheless my almond milk tea had no pearls without asking after I paid for it.

Freshie Tea has severely decreased in quality over the past few months. I would strongly not recommend ordering drinks from their Wix website as they don't check these orders so it would be easier for everyone to order in person or through another app. I placed an order an hour ahead of time with the drinks I wanted and that I would be picking up an hour later, when I arrived, none of the workers there even knew my order existed. They recreated my order there, making me a solid 20 minutes behind schedule. They did not speed up my order either, even though I clearly made the order an hour before anyone else in the store. The menu has changed since a few months ago, and they never updated their website, so one of the drinks that I ordered online wasn't even available. When I arrived to get my drinks, they recreated my order and wanted to charge me extra for the drink that had toppings included at a set price. Also, the website offered a 10% discount for doing pickup, and when they recreated my order there, I was charged full price. This is unacceptable, do not order online. Also, the quality of the cups have decreased too. The cups used to be the cute looking plastic cups with caps that you see when you google Freshie Tea, but now they use flimsy and sad looking cups without the cute caps. It is up to each store on how they want to sell and package their stuff, but as a customer this is really disappointing, and deters me from coming back as the prices are expensive and the tea tastes similar to all boba stores, nothing makes them stand out. However, there is one thing that saves this store, and it is their worker's and their service. Albeit they could have done better regarding my order and possibly helping streamline it, but the attitudes of the workers here were decent. They weren't rude which was why the store got 3 stars instead of 1. I don't believe I will be going back for a while, but if I do, I will update this review if they improve their service and quality. TLDR: Freshie Tea quality has decreased immensely over the past few months, the menu has changed, the cups have gotten worse, and most importantly of all, do not order off their website.
