Cannova's Italian Cuisine

Very nice Italian restaurant. I personally prefer their pizza over the pasta. They are known for their award winning pizzas which are delicious. The service is usually quick and the waiters friendly. I like dining upstairs at the bar because it's not as crowded and much more intimate. The bartenders upstairs are amazing and actually know what they're doing. Easily the most knowledgeable bartenders in town, the other places around here could learn a few things from them. The owners are friendly as well and try to interact with the customers. Overall, a really nice place to have dinner if you're looking for good food and great service.

Probably the best place to eat in Freeport, but the hours are a joke. I stopped going simply because the hours were terrible and when you do go it may be packed and the upstairs has terrible service. I give the food 5 stars, but the service, poor hours, and overall chaotic nature of this poorly run operation is sad. Certainly embraces the dying nature of the town. Even carryout is a mess. Good food, but too many other issues to make it a 3 star

5+ stars! A real Italian restaurant! Been owned by the same family since 1926. Great service, fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere. This restaurant rivals any Italian restaurant in the country. Pizzas are fantastic! Everything is home made of course and they are also known for their Sicilian Filet. You can't go wrong here. A lot of the employees ate family and a lot of the non family employees have been here for years and years. Our waitress has 26 years of service! Cannot say enough good about this restaurant. If you are in town for 1 meal make sure you go here!
