The Union Dairy

The BEST ice cream I've ever had!!!! There's tons of flavors to choose from and they taste fresh!!! This is not store bought by any means!!! I had cherry cheesecake and it was real, tart cherries!!! I had a hot dog and cheese curds too and it was all fantastic!!! The staff is super friendly and it's super, and I mean super clean in there!!! The place looks like it's from the 50's and it's amazing how it all looks old but new at the same time!! Even the curb out front was decorated with ice cream, chocolate syrup, sprinkles and cherries!!! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!!!

This place is awesome!!! We had just seen a movie downtown and wanted something sweet before heading home. I googled ice cream near me a d low and behold this place was minutes from the theater. It was a little busy because of it being Mother's day and all. However, we were able to get in and get our ice cream ordered relatively quickly. We all got 2 scoops in bowls with all of our scoops being different flavors so we could share. They really give you plenty of ice cream and I must say they were all delicious. We were already making our plans to return as we were walking out the doors to our car. We did see a menu on our way out and saw all the various sundaes, shakes and malts they offered. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Great staff. Classic old-school jerk shop/scoop place. Highly recommend! Everything about this place screams 1960. The stools, drop service area, signs on the walls with their menu. And the girls that work there. Where did they find them? They are all so nice. Five stars for that rarity. This place is a throwback in more ways than one. The atmosphere and pleasant staff is such a treat. OH, and the ice cream treats are wonderful as well! Enjoy...

On the anniversary of the birth of my eldest daughter, I sought a place to celebrate the occasion. After considering many options, I chose to patronize the Union Dairy. Many a happy times have I spent there in the past, and this would turn out to be another happy memory to add to my collection. Tis Always comforting to see local business from my childhood continue to thrive in these trying times.

We love this place. It’s a shame they close on 8 on a Friday night. Seems down town caters to day shift people. Leaving no night life for the younger crowd! Guess Dairy Queen will get our business. This is the 4th time this year we have come and they were closed. Come on 8 pm on a Friday there were PLUNTY of cars coming in to see if they were open! Everyone left disappointed!
