Great off the beaten path diner. The waitress was very nice, just complained about working and acted like she didn't want to work. The hours seem to be what they make them, they placed a paper on the front door as to when they closed the diner.

Best Burger I’ve ever had! Hands down! It’s the burger you’d make yourself at home but so much better. I drove an hour and 15 mins to get there and will do it again. My sister got the BLT and I need to try it.

We love this place. We have been coming here for about 4 years. The food is excellent. Best burgers, outstanding fish, and spectacular omelettes. Haven’t found anything on the menu that we haven’t liked. We love the local, small town feel. Oh, and love the simple things like grilled cheese and chili. You can always get a side of potato chips, if you like. Don’t get me started on the malts! Hand dipped and served with the big silver container it was blended in containing the extra that didn’t fit into the glass. Mr. Smelker and his mom, Nadine, make the place feel like home.

Great little dinner, friendly staff. It's a small town setting where the staff and even other customers are interested in who you are, and what do where you come from.The food was a good, with a nice portion for the price. The facility was clean with a fair amount of space in between tables.

I had a patty melt and chips. They were delicious. The customer service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Small town restaurant feel for sure. Food is responsibly priced. I will go back if ever back in or around Alto.
