Golden Corral

Although it was quite busy the food isn't as good. This is the second time I have been to and I was disappointed. There was plastic utensils instead of metal utensils and plates needed some upgrade. Couldn't get a straw at the register with the cup of soda, had to get it from the back. The steak was a little too well done and the plastic knife was having a hard time cutting it. The server (Octavia) was quite busy cleaning up everything, she done a very good job.

Will keep it simple. First time at a franchise assembly line buffet casual restaurant. Until today I have only seen the TV commercials for the Golden Corral. I would say, the food was traditional and no frills basic American food. Fried chicken was better than expected and better tasting than some other national chicken only franchises. The vegetables dishes, for the most part, looked soggy, wilted and unfresh. Service was spartan at best. High volume and constant traffic flow of customers coming and going. They need to focus better on attending to customer needs, cleanliness and sanitary standards of the restaurant.

So today was our third time ever going to any Golden corral but our second time going to this particular location in freehold New Jersey I have to say overall they’re all consistently below average when it comes to their food.. A lot of the stuff that I had today seem to be very dried out like the fish even the meat and steak had no flavor to it I don’t think the season it before the grill it at a minimum we all know salt and pepper on any type of meat prior to cooking it helps the cooking process I really don’t think that they use salt and pepper prior to cooking their meats The service there was kind of slow but yet the restaurant was busy so I understand that overall I’m just not impressed with golden corral as a whole not just this particular location I don’t think I would waste the money to go back again for less than average food but that’s just my opinion I’m sorry for sort of a bad review but I I call it as I see fit the only thing that I enjoy was there self serve ice cream it actually was really tasty but I would be like the only thing that I actually really enjoyed there the kids did enjoy their dessert buffet with a chocolate fountain they did have a real wide variety of different desserts but I am not a big dessert eater but everything did look fantastic I can’t comment on how it was actually but overall if you want to try it for yourself go right ahead if not I feel there’s no big loss there..

This one wasnt bad even though they didn't have steak that night but the pot roast covered for the beef. Everything i had was good i forgot to eat my baked potato though. Our poor waitress was the only one for our section and she was handling about 8 tables by herself but she still made sure everyone had what they needed on top of other things she had to do..

Came from NYC and Went on 9/1/18 to this golden corral after reading reviews for this GC and the GC in Connecticut. After seeing this GC didn't have any bad reviews on the food, I decided to go here with my girlfriend. Some of the reviews wasn't lying when they said staff aren't that nice, but I understood why. It looked like to me that they were understaffed and being understaffed means more work for you plus the customers aren't that nice either. So when you're working in a understaffed place with more work to do along with rudely non nice customers, I don't expect you to be as happy as they want you to be. The Food was really good though, especially the steak. I have no complaint about the food at all. The bathroom however was not okay all. Tissues was piled up everywhere like no staff has been in there since GC first opened in the morning that day,but like I said before probably being understaffed and having alot of customers especially rude ones, I doubt the bathroom was their minds to go after.other than that, it good. Just reccomend people to come early and watch your kids. Also, our waitress name was Asia and she was awesome. you could tell she had alot to deal with, but was keeping a smile on her face and was being nice to everyone that encounter her. Definitely need more people like her. I give you 4 stars because staff was nice and food was good plus it's all you could eat lol cant veay that ladies and guys. Rude customers has nothing to do with your establishment. Thank you.
