Special was spinach, cheese and sausage omelet, which was very good. Service was quick. We split the omelet and it was plenty.

Pro: Amazing vintage atmosphere, great food, flawless and cheerful service. Family owned for decades, with "regulars" coming for just as long. Large portions on the cheap.
Con: It's popular, and not large, so you may have to wait for a table oftener than you'd like. The modern LED lighting is not quite bright enough after sunset. Needs a jukebox, though I don't know where they'd put it.
Bottom Line:. If you're local, becoming a regular is worth it. If you're passing through, you'll regret not dining here. Either way, you're welcome.

Love going to this place. Good service, very friendly cook, and great food. The prices are also good. Im not giving 5 stars because they don't have turkey sausage or turkey bacon options, which seems very behind the times. Lots of people don't eat pork because of health or religious reasons. Most places have turkey options. I rarely get breakfast here because breakfast is best with a breakfast meat, which I can't eat here. They have great sandwiches, and good onion rings.

The ONLY thing bad about this place can be trying to get a seat. It's popular. The food is excellent, and the service is great. If I have family or a friend in town, I'll bring them here. Guaranteed to get a great meal with good service at a good price. Nothing prepackaged about this place. This joint is truly is one of the gems of Fredericksburg.

Great local diner with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food was very good and an excellent price, though maybe a bit underseasoned.

One of the best kept secrets of the state. Simple food made amazingly well. Hands down the best Western omelet I have ever had. Not expensive but they could charge more.

Very poor experience. A giant hair was wrapped around my fries. Waitress simply stated, "it happens". The fries were not taken off the bill and there was no apology. The gyro was terrible. The meat was slimy, cold, and dripping with oil, lettuce was soggy. The turkey dinner was sliced deli meat on top of white bread with instant mashed potatoes doused in jarred gravy. What a waste of 30 dollars.

Quaint small establishment with a daily local fan base. I've eaten there twice and haven't really seen the wonder to it. Not like most stories you hear about the out of the norm small Reasturants are best. It's somewhat ok but that's my opinion and may be argued by the local daily patrons. But let's face fact, I rate food establishments daily and scores are spot on as well as referrals. This reasturant needs to switch food supplier's to up the score in a hussle world and a need for flavor.
