Review Drake's - Franklin

This place is a must eat at if you're in the area. The menu has a great variety. I had mini cheeseburgers with sweet potato waffle fries and sushi. The food was amazing and hearty. The $5 drink special was so delicious I had 2. I will take the 55min drive from my city and bring back my family for the experience. My bill was high because I over ordered. Prices are great!

My first time at Drakes won't be my last. I had the Beer Cheese & Bacon Burger for lunch. The cheese, bacon, pickles, and mustard compliment the beef burger & fantastic bun perfectly. The crinkle fries were double-crispy, if that makes sense. Our server was great during our lunchtime visit. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

Waited 40 mins to get seated which I guess is normal for a Saturday night. After we were seated and put our order in, we waited another 40 minutes to get our entrees. We ordered the loaded nachos and when it came the nachos were all soggy, and barely any beef. I ordered the patty melt which came cold, the cheese was hard and the fries were cold and soggy. We also ordered the surf and turf roll was good, it was the only thing I enjoyed during our visit.

I love this place! The sushi and burgers are always great. Im a French fry person and their fries are always crispy and nicely seasoned. Had the fried pickles last night and they were literally the best I’ve ever had. Great list of craft beers too!

They get my ‘to go’ order wrong… EVERY TIME! I’m giving 3 stars because I like that sushi is an option in the menu, BUT every single time I order a classic, sushi combo something is wrong or missing. On top of that, the bartenders seem inconvenienced by you just being there. Being a former bartender and someone that has to have late night food due to my business hours, it is unacceptable! If my order was done right, I guess I would forgive their hours. Just ridiculous and unacceptable in every way. ***(pictured is supposed to be crunchy roll with Shrimp. Yes, that’s tuna)

Stopped at Drake’s today for a late lunch between soccer games. There was a bit of a wait when we first arrived, an estimated 30 minutes or so. There were also a lot of people waiting but we seemed to get in pretty quickly at about 15 to 20 minutes. Our waitress, Hannah, was amazing. Very polite and quick with our food. She checked on us many times and was very pleasant. I had the Spring sushi roll and the Fantasy roll while my son had the Triple Double Mini Burgers. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. Chains tend to be a bit boring but this food was really well balanced. I even took a bite of my son’s burger. It was so good I can’t wait to go back and get it myself. The atmosphere was very nice, family oriented but bar like. And it was clean which is always a plus. Overall, we had a five-star experience. I’ll definitely try Drake’s again but maybe in a different location. Mimosas were also four dollars today which was an added perk to my excellent visit.

Drinks and a snack with my long term mentor at Drake's Cool Springs. Fun atmosphere, but it was already packed at 5! We sat near the open garage door in the bar area. Our server was great. Just the right amount of attentive. She was aware of when we were deep in conversation and always came at a good point. The drinks were pretty good. I had a vodka cranberry and an old fashioned. She had their cucumber drinks. We shared the chips and dips appetizer, which comes with refried beans, guac, and salsa. Their quality is arranged in order for me haha. The beans were good, though obviously canned. The guac was alright (not great but not bad). The salsa did nothing for me at all, though. All in all, it's close to her office, so I'm sure we'll go back, but it's not a place I'd seek out for dinner.

Menen was terrific! Thank you for making my night so special. Food was exactly what we ordered and arrived quickly. Drinks were promptly delivered. Menen went above and beyond to ensure we had a great night. Thank you.

Drake's is amazing! The staff is also amazing....almost like family. Our go to place to eat out! Great food, fun place, esp. Later in the evening. If you have never been, it may be your new favorite place to eat as well! �

The burger I had was really good. A good variety of drink choices from beer to cocktails. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed by the busy restaurant, but was friendly enough.

so unbelievably impressed with how genuine and caring the manager Chas and our server April were ! I have never been treated in such a way in any establishment I've visited . They went above and beyond for my family & took such amazing care of a young child who had fell and hurt himself . Our food was so good and our drinks were never empty . Thank you for a wonderful Sunday night and reminding us there are still good people out there. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant !

Drake's is my favorite place to eat in Cool Springs ... Always! And I always have to have the Frickles no matter what time of day on there. Today, the salmon Teriyaki Sushi 8 was fabulous! And the frickles:).

We went for St. Patrick’s Day! They had a fun menu with green beer and green drinks! It was really fun! Plus we are Irish ☘️ 🍻

My husband and I eat here on a regular basis (easily once or twice a week) . The service is always impeccable. . I have recently discovered the Triple Double Mini Burgers. It's all about the meat to bun ratio; and this doesn't dissappoint. I haven't been disappointed by anything on their menu.

Incredibly good food and beer, and well-managed restaurant. Will return many times when I'm in the area.

I only eat here 3-4 times a week, so I am not sure I am qualified to give an opinion...... Best burgers, sushi, bar food, atmosphere..... not about the food tho, its the people. You guys rock. Now , If we can continue to work on my dedicated parking spot....

Great Drinks. Great atmosphere. But it was miserably HOT in the back room. Went to an event and I felt like I was melting.

Stopped in for some drinks on a friday afternoon in late March. Fried pickles were awesome. Drinks good, service good. Open garage doors were nice. We'll probably be back.

Interesting bar. The food is a great mix of bar food and sushi. They bill it as Burgers, Beer and Sushi, but really the sushi is some of the best you'll find outside of an authentic Japanese Grill. Burgers are also first class and then there's a pretty good beer selection. This is my chosen lunch spot and after work drop-in for a drink on the way home.

They have some of the best sushi I have ever had! I recommend the crunchy Texas or crack ragoon roll! The atmosphere is always great. Their burgers and sliders are to die for as well!

Very good food! You know how it is...you find something you really like somewhere and you tend to order it over and over. The Roasted Chicken Nachos are that for me. I have trouble ordering other things as I really, really like those nachos. I have had burgers and have liked those as well. They even have sushi for those that like that. I hear that is good, but I couldn't say. The atmosphere is lively, and they open the front of the restaurant up to the outside on nice days, so it is like a covered porch. Great place to eat.

The vanishing bartender. My son and I went there for lunch today. Been there before and always enjoyed the place. Food is as good as any and better than many places and the beer selection is excellent. We say at the bar and After about an hour and a half we had finished eating and had had enough to drink so I asked for a box for my leftover food And my son asked for the check. The bartender said ok and then simply disappeared. Half hour later after no acknowledgement from anyone we asked a passing waitress for the check. Ok sure...then she vanished like the bartender. Ten minutes later I was fed up and went to a nearby table and asked the waitress just what it took to get our check so we could go. She comes behInd the bar, gives us the check and cusses me out for disturbing her at "her" table. Great service! Try a new manager folks! Amazing!

Poor attitude and service.. Yes it was very busy with the World Cup on TV. That does not excuse, poor service and attitude both from our server at the Bar, and the Mgr. from the kitchen. After waiting and watching food being delivered to people all around us, who came in after us, and asking if our order was lost three times, the attitude from the Server Katie was non descript. The Kitchen Mgr. came and after checking the computer, asked if we wanted our food to go since I told Katie to check me out and forget the lunch. No apology, no nothing, and, she gave me the wrong change before hurrying back to the kitchen without another word. I paid for our beverages and left, and I doubt I will return and I will tell my friends several reasons not to visit Drakes. Someone in charge of training should start over with classes on attitude and how to treat customers who keep them in business. People go to restaurants for the food, the atmosphere and more than anything, the service. I will even dismiss lousy food and atmosphere if treated with respect and show some sort of sincerity in performing the act of service. All I can say is WOW. What a lousy job by those we came in touch with.

Service it hit or miss. It is really disappointing because I really like this place but more often than not the service is pretty bad. Every once in a while we will get a good server. I enjoy the atmosphere and love that they also have sushi and burgers. It makes it easy to make everyone happy with the variety. The sushi is ok but it would not be one of my top choices.

First of all, most of the reviews here are probably by people who have the impression that 10% is a good tip. I have come to Drake's often. The service is always great, the food is always superb. The sushi is akin to that of my favorite sushi bar in Cali. The burgers are the best in town, their nachos put mexican restaurants to shame. The prices on food are standard, on alcohol maybe a tad expensive than most but much cheaper if you come during happy hour or when they have a special. Drakes is a great restaurant and bar and anyone who disagrees clearly has a screw loose.

Decent. Fairly good beer selection. We enjoyed sitting at the bar on the outside section. We didn't eat so I can't review that but the beer was good as well as the service. Pretty waitresses, too, so that was nice.

Beautiful 75 outside. 60 deg air freezing everyone out. Servers are ok.

Horrible service. The staff spend more time chatting with other staff and what appear to be close friends than serving guests. Gave this place a couple of tries and service was worse each go around. The food was great the first visit but has been mediocre since then. Not going back.

The Fish 'n Chips is delicious and the service was good. I go to Drake's often and have never had a bad experience.

Great service! I went with my waitress' suggestion of the chicken cordon bluegrass & it was great! I can't wait to try the sushi next (my waitress said it would be good)!

Unreliable and certainly unethical. Like most reviews - first time was okay - second - little worse and after this past visit, will not recommend - period. While the entire menu is priced well, and offers a diverse selection, establishments should not be reviewed on these two facts alone. Familiar faces would indicate low attrition rates therefore wait staff should be experienced and professional. Attention from our server was delayed, food which should have been served hot was cold, table not cleared as new items arrived, drink orders only half delivered, and in some instances, totally ignored. Couple this, with witnessing a waitress physically slapping patrons on the backs of their heads, individuals with very loud and deplorable language skills seemingly not addressed and I have to ask if this is what the company had in mind when it expanded out of Kentucky? Exactly what do they cover in new hire orientation, food preparation and delivery, techniques for addressing patrons, policies in professionalism, and just what their forecasted longevity is in the professional and family laden Brentwood area?

Worst service ever. No kidding, it took 1.5 hours to get a pick-up order on a non-busy Tuesday night. Food arrived cold and server didn't even bring drinks until 20 minutes after we sat down (longest smoke break ever). Worst part is that I didn't have time to wait around to speak to the manager.<br/><br/>I will never go there again, especially when there are tons of other decent restaurants in the area that actually serve you food when you pay for it.

Great Atmosphere and Great Food. We have been back to Drake's many times. I have to say that with the exception of one misfire (bad server) they have been "on mark" every time. <br/><br/>Their food is great, if you want or need something just ask! They have a fried fish sandwich on their menu, I cannot eat fried foods but asked about having a grilled fish sandwich. They were more than happy to accommodate and quite honestly it is among the best I've ever had! Love Drake's!

Great place for food, drink, sports tv!. Service was excellent, food and sushi was excellent! Great atmosphere to hang with friends and have a great time!

Industry Nights. Started going either Sunday or Monday nights depending on my schedule. Recommend it to anyone. They cal these nights Industry nights I think. Anyone can come. Its not like a restaurant industry night. They have every single NFL game you would want to watch and everyone in the place gets half off their beer towers of any kind of beer they offer. Can't beat it.

Love the patio and Roasted Chicken Nachos. Drake's Cool Springs is the perfect place to hang out on these nice fall days. With two bars (one with a garage door that is usually open on nice days, sometimes with a cozy firepalce), this new neighborhood spot on Cool Springs Blvd is a great meet-up place. The delicious Roasted Chicken Nachos are crispy and fully loaded with pulled roasted chicken beans, cheese, and then topped with cilantro cream sauce.

I loved the atmosphere of Drake's. I went for drinks around 6:30 with a friend. We ordered food and they forgot my Sushi roll. I also ordered a burger that was cooked wrong and the fries were ice cold. The manager came out and they corrected my order and i was happy. After some time our waitress got a table of businessmen and no longer attented to our table. It was very rude and obvious. We finally got our checks and we had asked her to split them very specifically. Of course our server actually got that wrong too. I am giving Drake's another chance this evening. Hopefully they have addressed their issues.

Horrible Service. I've been there once for lunch, and once for drinks in the evening. The food is ok, nothing outstanding. During my lunch stop, the service was a joke. Not only was my drink empty the entire time, but so was every other table's around me. I went there for drinks a week later to see if the night atmosphere was better. We sat at the bar at 8:00 on the nose. By 8:10, we still hadn't been approached for a drink order. Knowing they were busy, it wasn't a big deal. By 8:20, we still hadn't been approached. We got up and left, and will never go back.

My new hangout!. I'm in love with the TACOS!!! They're these soft shell tacos (the shrimp are my fav, but my friend loves the buffalo chicken) that are basically like fajitas because they give you so many different items to customize them with!! <br/>My server suggested Sweetwater beer and I'm all over it - she knew her stuff. I described what I like in a beer and she took it from there. I'm coming back with my girlfriends on Friday to get a table tap!

Yuck!. Same ol' same ol' in Franktown: old people hanging out in a place that was to my knowledge marketed towards the young professional crowd. If you've ever been to Tin Roof 2 and hated how crowded it was, how the servers practically ignored you, how there wasn't more than 5 people there under the age of 30, you'll hate Drake's. They have a great setup, but they let way too many people in such that you wind up standing for two hours hoping a table comes open... since they don't have a hostess to seat you. There are no games on the TV, just music videos from the 80's. They have a great beer selection, but no happy hour. And as Katy P's comment states, the clientele is typical pathetic Franklinites - all middle-aged but dressed like they're 18, all divorced and trolling for the next failed marriage. Don't waste your time. Jonathon's, Dan McGuiness, even McCreary's are all better alternatives.

Not Impressed. I tried this place out HOPING it would finally be that young professional, twenty-something hangout that Franklin so desperately needs and it turned out to be like every other establishment in town suffering from an identity crisis: overcrowded, WAY TOO LOUD, suffering from horrible service, and featuring an unflattering mixture of clientele --- which is to say trashy rednecks, women past their prime trying WAY too hard, and old businessmen who spend their time conspicuously checking out underage girls. Yeah... gross, but then again... that's Franklin for you. Food was ok, I guess. Not overpriced, but not especially good, either. Their service is lacking big time; VERY slow and inattentive. It's still worth at least one shot since it's different than a lot of other places in Franklin, but I'd wait a month or two until the "Grand Opening" crowds die down. If, however, you go and after one time decide to never go back, I won't blame you.

GREAT!. As a new restaurant, they've pretty much go their ducks in a row. A few hick-ups here and there, but that's what happens in a newer restaurant...they're still learning. However, the food is GREAT..servers are very nice and attentive..price is Good and the drink selections are AWESOME! I highly recommend..it will only get better with age!

Awful service. Some times bad service can be over looked for good food. Not this time. The staff was so inattentive especially at the front bar. This has been a problem every time we have gone.

Food was good. Beer selection was excellent, no happy hour. Awful service everytime I go. One of the orders we placed didn't come out for 4t5 minutes and everyone else had already finished their food. The staff just does not pay attention to anything. Servers and bartenders spend more time talking to each other than paying attention to customers and their orders. Good place to get a beer, don't expect much more. Also they never have anything good on the 20 tv's just terrible music videos.

We have been twice. The first time we had fantastic service and 4 great meals. Our waitress was so knowledgeable about the beer (they had extesive training) and a serious selection. We went back 2 days later and all that could go wrong, went wrong from poor service to awful food. Because of our initial visit, we will return.

Busy spot, fun place. Just opened, but been there a few times already...usually for beers with friends. Last night tried the chilli burger & fries. I thought it was very good - and priced fairly. The people at our table all had different things and pretty much everyone liked their food. Know this: it's a busy, loud place and not my kinda place for an intimate date or a business meeting. But when I'm in the mood for people watching and general good times....Drakes is a good choice. Our server last night (Shasta) was great - always there when we needed her. My only complaint: no happy hour. Been there early (6-7 pm) and I've seen a mixed (30's - 50's) crowd for after work cocktails or early drinks/dinner. I've been there late (after 1 a.m.), too. The later the night, the younger the crowd. It's fun regardless of the age of the crowd and I always see people I know.

Love the food!. Have tried Drakes a few times now, and the crab rangoon roll is sooo good! I also had the buffalo chicken slider. It was delicious. We have had good service and like the atmosphere a lot. Definitely needed a new late night food spot and bar out here! Also, my husband loved the beer options and table tap. Will be back!

Drake's. Great atmosphere. Good food great variety. Terrible service. I have been there multiple times and the servers are somewhat oblivious to what is going on. And I am really not that picky but it is consistently bad.

Drake's Round two! These beer towers are insane. We shared a chicken sandwich and spicy tuna roll. Weirdly good combo.
