Barbara's Home Cookin - Franklin - Photo album

Great food and it was a beautiful day to sit outside...a tiny hidden gem of a restaurant. Very nice and friendly family who runs the place. Fabulous yeast rolls, everything was so, so good. We've lived in Nashville forever (hubby born here) and just now finding this delicious little place. Even
Delicious southern cooking! The roll I was given while I waited for my food was warm and delicious, the country fried steak was amazing with the perfect gravy, the fried okra was crispy and fresh, the mac and cheese needed some hot sauce to make it great, but that’s more of a personal taste thing.

Fantastic southern meat and three, I'm always a fan of their fried chicken and the poppyseed chicken casserole. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were good, but they had already run out of my favorites, fried okra, and the field peas. I missed getting pictures of the blackberry cobbler, and the
Really good country cooking. Love, love, love the South African accent of the staff. Count how many times you get called "Darling".
