Review The Draft Room At Kings - Franklin

For the prices, the food is sub-par. For example, the King's Sampler is $23 and you can see by the picture that this is waaaay overpriced for the portion size. The fish tacos tasted good, but the weird yellow rice was liquidy and had absolutely no flavor. The black beans had very little flavor and were overcooked. The burger was the best item ordered. The cookie sundae was one of the smallest, especially considering the price, and had a very small scoop of ice cream, but the wife said it was tasty. It's been two years since we've been here, and the experience was the same as two years ago... good enough to come back, but not good enough to come back more than every two years. For the prices, it frankly isn't worth it considering all the great local places, as well as other chain restaurants with similar menu items but having larger portion sizes AND better prices (I'm looking at you Cheddars).

Called a week ahead for a group of 16 birthday party with plans to bowl at 9:30. Seated in the mostly empty restaurant at 7:30 on a Saturday. Doubt we would ever have been served if my wife hadn't chased down the server to take orders. We were then informed they were out of french fries. Kinda shocking when you know there is a restaurant food service supplier less than a mile away (Gordon's Franklin location is next to Costco). Suggestions for alternate sides were sweet potato fries or beans and rice ?!?!? With a burger? Most of my group had food served by 9:15. We got utensils at 9:30. Apparently they ran out and had to wash them. When they were cleaned the server dumped the utensils in a pile in the middle of the table. Sweet potato fries were served room temperature and most of the food was not warm. During our visit we got two rounds from the bar. We couldn't just order directly from the bar we were hostage to the lack ability of the server. We got excuses from the manager. We paid and left. 'Thanks' for the birthday experience. It was embarrassing putting my friends through that.

Not a bad place. There was a 2 hour wait for. Bowling. Order a Green tea drink and was told they couldn't make it. Asked another waitress and was able to get it (was not strong). Did not order any food, but my friends did (seem to have good portion sizes). Our waiter was not very knowledgeable.

Bad service, server was ignorant of the menu and let our glasses go empty. Not to mention we were charged top dollar for warmed over, Tyson chicken. Drinks are top shelf price with well quality and the bartender knew it. For example, the old fashioned specified Luxardo cherries, on the menu, and you get walmart maraschino cherries. BS. Management needs to get people ready before they put them out on the floor. Don't waste your money.

Very loud and the bang bang scrimp tacos were just OK. No sausa to go with them. On the good side the cider was cold.

Great Family Friendly Fun! Bowling and Pool. The food is not near as good as you would think. The pizza was terrible, like convenient market. Fries were decent. Super fun place but they could definitely improve the food. Just feels cheap and like microwaved from frozen.

Good food and service. Pizzas we're a bit small for the price and the package for a party was overly expensive for what you get. We had a party with 13 people and were able to have up to 18 people with the reservation. Thank goodness we didn't have anymore people because there wasn't a lot of room. The package details were misleading saying they offered a VIP ' room' but it was only 2 lanes. Overall the service made up for it and the food was delicious.

You can tell the pandemic is taking its toll on places like this. Lots of open seats. But! The staff is good here. Very attentive. Tables are all clean. Not the typical "bar" feeling.

I don't like giving one star but today I would have given The Draft Room zero stars if that was an option. We have eaten here probably 10 times. The food is outstanding and the sports experience is the best around. But the service is another story. The service has never been good but it has gotten progressively worse over time. Today we arrived at 3:15 and were seated immediately. We waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table for drink orders but we have learned this is standard there. We had had plenty of time to look at the menu so we went ahead and ordered our food. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks. My husband drank his beer and it was probably 10 more minutes before the waitress came from the back of the restaurant and asked if he wanted another, which he did. We had not seen her since she had brought the first drinks about 30 minutes before. We waited another 15 minutes and she never brought the beer so we put money on the table for the one beer and one soft drink we had been served and left. We had been there one hour and had one beer and no food. I doubt we will go back. If you are hungry, thirsty, or in a hurry, you shouldn't either.

Great place to see a game. Huge 3 screens (19')!! The deviled eggs appetizer was great - and spicy! The cauliflower appetizer, not so much. The sausage pizza was delicious! Crust had a little cripyness to it - which was great. The steakhouse pizza was good, but lacked any distinct flavor. Our server Michelle was wonderful!

The food was horrible.The management changed. They have a new CEO. The atmosphere is different it's not fun anymore. Used to be my favorite restaurant and e the best food now it's just a bar down the street with below-average food.

If I could rate this less than a one I would. Worst experience ever. The restaurant was half full and they wouldn't seat us. Each person gave us a different excuse. First it was reservations, then low staff, then kitchen issues. And they gave us an attitude when we asked how much longer after waiting 45 min. They treat the customers horribly.

Service was okay at best, never got appetizer, took 35 min for a salad and chicken wrap which salad was salty af some how, and overpaid in my opinion, just wanted a nice meal with my SO and left more stressed than when I came in. Will not be back.

Had a really great time at the writers round on Thursday night! The sound system and ambience of the evening was really awesome.

Overrated food quality not up to par.servie was not great.would have to think long and hard about going back.

Food is so amazing here and the people working are very friendly and at your table often. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I were excited to try The Draft Room after reading such positive reviews; however, we were shocked by how horrible this experience was. We arrived at lunch time and the restaurant was relatively empty: only about 4 other tables had customers the entire time we were there. Our waitress was not very friendly but took our order and delivered our drinks promptly. About 35 minutes later, our order was brought to the table: cold fries and a burger and a grilled chicken wrap. Upon removing the bun of the burger for condiments, we noticed 3 HAIRS under the bun! Thankfully, I had not taken a bite yet. It took about 5 minutes before we were able to even find an employee to flag down to request our waitress. When she finally arrived to the table, we showed her the bun and HAIRS. Her unapologetic response was, "Well, that's just great. Do you want another one?" We sent it back and asked for everything to be made fresh. The waitress approached the manager who was speaking on the telephone in the back of the room. The manager did not acknowledge us or get off of the phone. We waited for about 20 minutes and were not checked on by the waitress or manager during that time. Finally, when the waitress reemerged, we asked her to just cancel the burger and that we were ready to go. She requested our credit card to which my husband requested to see an actual check before he turned over his card. The waitress returned a few minutes later with the bill. After ensuring that we were only charged for the chicken wrap, my husband gave the waitress his card. When she returned with the receipt, my husband requested to speak to the manager. The waitress replied, "Lots of people are out today, so he's been on the phone. I showed him the burger earlier and he told me to just bring you a new one.” My husband again asked to speak with the manager. She replied that she would try to “find” the manager. After another 10 minutes of waiting, my husband flagged down the waitress and asked about the manager. She replied, "He's still on the phone." My husband asked if the situation did not seem important enough to the manager to get off of the phone to speak to us, and the waitress replied by shrugging her shoulders and walking away. After this, my husband removed the tip from the bill and left a note for the manager since he never came out to speak to us or apologize for the terrible service or food. This was such a disgusting and disappointing experience.
