The giant apple fritter is very good. Dense but not heavy. Very flavorful.
All items are made in house. The owner is always in the shop.

Stopped here for a sweet treat before our Buffalo Trace tour, and it did not disappoint. The case was filled with so many tempting goodies. We tried the donuts and cookies and both were top notch. The cookies were even soft and gooey a few days later. We will definitely be back on our next trip through town.

Stopped in prior to my tour at Buffalo Trace. I asked what was good, and they said everything, they were right. Highly recommended! Awesome maple donuts!

I went in for a last minute wedding cake. Customer service was phenomenal. Employee was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and patient. When I went to pick up our cake it was perfect and more beautiful than what I imagined. They definitely went above and beyond for me. A friend of mine and my husband new us and took extra care while making our cake! Poppy's Bakery is the only place I will ever go to know any time I need bakery goods. Thank you to the staff for making our day just that much more special!

Everything from the smell was Absolutely Amazing as soon you walk thru the doors. I do not remember the ladies name that waited on us but she was so very kind and helpful .. Need to take a break from the world and enjoy a pastry of your choice this is place you want to go there is so much comfy seating room .. the prices are not bad at all ..if anything is left from the day beforw u get a great deal on it i got a huge apple fritter and two huge cinnamon rolls for only 4.50 only a day old and they tasted absolutely amazing .. the fresh apple fritter and the long johns with custard was delish .. if you have not checked this place out you need to. Every single item they have in their case are absolutely fresh guaranteed every single day and they open up pretty early in the morning i was there friday and i do believe the open at 6:30 .. The cakes ive seen made from poppys bakery are so beautiful .. i promise you will not be upset going to this bakery .. Im sure you will be just as amazed as my gamily and my self was.

We found this little gem on our way to Buffalo Trace, and are very glad we did! Large variety of delicious goodies. Highly recommend.
