Friendly staff, menu has many options, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Home style cooking, food served hot, very tasty. Facility clean. Plenty of parking. Easy access from route 81. We stopped for breakfast on the way to Pocono and on our return trip we stopped for dinner. Save room for dessert, pies and cakes and they serve a fairly local ice cream that is top notch. It is one of the very best dinners that I have been to.
Friendly staff greeted us (my friend, her father, and I) with a smile. We were very pleased with the food and the service. The staff make you feel welcome. Being out of state, this meant a lot to me. We loved the old diner feel of the restaurant and the staff went out of their way to make sure the customers were satisfied. We loved the old-fashioned decorative menus and the old jukeboxes. This place is welcoming and delicious. I sadly did not see a wheelchair accessible ramp and the steps are steeper, so if you have trouble walking or can't walk, I recommend delivery.
We were just traveling through to NY and looking for a place to eat. I'm glad we found this one. The counter was filled with pies and breads. The food was great. The mature ladies serving were wonderful--felt like home with Mom. I had the Turkey and gravy over a waffle (never heard of that before) and my son had their Turkey club sandwich. The restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend.
I've driven by Dutch Kitchen from my parents house in Scranton to where I've lived in MD for the past 20 years (ever since college) and never once stopped in. I finally came with my wife and young kids because we needed to stop right away and there wasn't much around. I wasn't sure what to expect but I really liked the food. The potato pancake appetizer tasted great, very similar to my grandma's. The crab cakes are outstanding and very reasonably priced. Definitely a great place to have country cooking at a good price. I'll definitely come back, wish I came in sooner.
